After 4 months of being on yaz I have decided to stop because of the terrible side effects that I was experiencing. My goal is to get my body working naturally again on its own and find hormonal balance naturally rather than with drugs and synthetic hormones that are just simply not good for us. What concerns me most on this post is NOT that you are looking for drugs to bandaid a problem temporarily, because I have also done this as well.
ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?
s important to me and my relationship, and wondering if EVERYONE has this side effect because of the effects on testosterone and is this a lasting effect even if I were to stop taking it. Are there any safer alternatives to hormone imbalance that do not effect sex drive and cause other related health problems. I am aware that with any medication their could be implications, but I am more prone to prefer more natural methods of solving problems. Any thoughts?
Birth control pill containing Drospirenone and ethinylestradiol may be helpful since they have lesser side effects. Drink plenty of water everyday and avoid oily fried foods to prevent acne. For more queries and assistance do consult your gynecologist before starting any new pill. Keep me posted.

I have now stopped the injection and started on the Qlaira contraceptive/birth control pill, which I know is not especially for improving acne as some are (Yaz, Diane 35), but I want to know how likely this change is to help, as i really am at the end of my tether. I'm about a week into my second pack and so far, nothing has changed - for better or worse.
It took me almost a year and 40bls to figure it out, all while eating right and exercising. There are many more side effects to this thing..After about a year there is a smell and I am extra clean but you cant get rid of it. Your sex drive goes away and really bad acne. You will constantly feel pregnant the whole time and I finally just said enough and I'm having it removed monday.
I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.
I used to be on Desogen (before my two kids) and did really well on it--no problems, light periods, no side effects. I told my GYN this....why was I stuck on YAZ? Anyway, are these symptoms dangerous? Should I really wait out the month or would that be risky? To me, anything to do with the heart isn't something to mess with. I'm also very atheletic and and worried about the palps + exercise.
i have been on some form of birth control since i was 16 (i think, or 17). i am 20 now. i have been on yaz for the last 2 years. i can't see my gyno, being out of state now, but i will talk to her about this of course before doing it.
what should i expect? i went on it initially because i had heavy periods and bad cramps. when i get my period now, it's light with minor cramps. i never had acne or anything, but i think it might have helped clear up my skin a little.
Your symptoms sound very much like what I went through on Yaz. Both Yasmin and Yaz have a different kind of progestin than other bcps. I was on Yaz for six months, and started having anxiety attacks about once a month. Then after I quit I felt better for a while, but it seems like at 3 months off and six months off things would get worse for a period of time.
Like Ginger said above, you may need to try to take extra care of yourself: taking vitamins, eating healthy, exercise and rest.
With that said, he said Yaz may in fact be an adequate treatment without the nasty steroid side effects. I did some research and Yaz and Yasmin have been prescribed to treat LOCAH with success.
Problem is it will take about 6 months versus 3 days on steroids to start seeing results. But I can live with that.
I was just wondering if anyone out there had experience with taking Yaz to treat LOCAH.
I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!
The treatment that you have been prescribed is correct. If you are having any side effects then get the antibiotics changed and even oral antibiotics can be added.

You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a
form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side
effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to
google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant,
and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside,
and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not. I wish you well.
hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.
