I don't really have neck tightness...just a ton of itching. The itching is getting worse. It's now on my stomach, hands and face. I took a cold shower and that helped for a little bit, but not long enough.

He said if itching goes away after four days of using the XYZAL, then I will try Niaspin and see how my body will react.
Now, after using XYZAL for two days, my body is still itching, there is no diffrence yet. I got two more pills of XYZAL. I'll wait two more days and I'll publish my comment about this medicine.

After 8 months of constant hives, lip swelling, eye swelling and finger swelling, i went to an allergist and got prescribed Xyzal. It worked great for the first 2 weeks and i was over joyed to have my life back! But the past few days, some hives have started to come back. I have been taking benadryl along with the xyzal as needed. I was wondering if I could take 2 xyzal a day instead o 1. The only other medication that I am on is ortho cyclin birth control.
Over 5 weeks ago, I took XYZal for 4 days to help with Fall allergies. Shortly after I stopped taking XYZ-al, I started itching all over my body. I went to my dermatologist. she narrowed it down to the allergy medication. Has anyone experienced this reaction? It has been 5 miserable weeks....I am on hydroxyzine pills which make me sleepy so I can only take at night to relieve itching/pinching. I have used multiple lotions. I called manufacturer who really were no help.
I have been on many type of antibiotics, use a saline rinse 2-3 times a day, take Nasonex, Astepro, Xyzal, Singulair and headache medicine. Some days are better than other but most days are constant pain, numbness, throbbing. A cat scan showed fluid in maxillary sinuses and some ethnoid sinusitus but my ENT surgeon shows no infection and is now considering a tubinate "snip" as he calls it to because my left turbinate is a bit large.
Do you still suffer from an itchy and runny nose ?
If not, maybe it is time to get off of the xyzal tablets , but you need your
doctor's permission and your doctor will tell you the safe way to gradually
get off of this medication. Otherwise, there will no doubt be side effects of withdrawing from this medication which you say you have been taking for five years. Another idea is to check out this website : www.drugs.com.

m currently taking hydroxizine, 50mg four times a day, periactin 8mg 4 times a day, and 150mg of zantac twice a day, with little relief. It helps the itching a bit, but i still break out. I've tried cotazone shots, prednisone, xyzal, cleratin, allegra. Nothing is helping! On top of all of that, because of the prednisone, i gained 60 lbs and canned shed them because i cant exercise!!!

Is there any safe product for infants to help with the itching. Is Sarna Sensitive safe? some drs say it is ok, some say it isn't safe for babies. Thanks so much.
PS is allergic to oats--so oatmeal baths are out!
Doctor recommended XYZAL. But I went to Pharmacy and the price is HUGE. Pharmacist said that Claranix and ZERTEC are in the same family. I got a shot of dermacort (Prednisone) today and bought Claranix . Waiting for allergy Doc. appointment. Last time I went to allergist, I succumbed to getting allergy drops (like shots, only drops under the tongue). I did that for 2 years. Didn't help. Didn't help stress, heat, chemicals, etc.
I have been dealing with hives since 2000. All i have to do is be in the sun and i break out. I have tried Zyrtec, Allegra, Singular and now i'm on Xyzal. The Xyzal i only tried one time and woke up the next morning feeling like i was drunk and hit by a train. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. I am so sick of these hives. I'm getting married in August and have a terrible farmers tan and i am asking for any advice on what to do.
Whatever is going on creates a histamine response in my body where I will break into hives or have extreme itching on my palms or ankles. I take xyzal daily, and this has helped relieve those issues, with exception to vaginal and anal itching! Nothing is visibly wrong in these areas, and I am miserable! Ice can relieve some of that, but I am miserable! My husband and son are now also complaining about similar symptoms.... what could this be? Also, skin is not normal...
He put me on a medication called methylprednisolone, along with an allergy pill called XYZAL. The medicine defiantly helped what rash there was and the itching, but after finishing the methylprednisolone my body started itching again. I am going to call on monday to see what other options I need to do.

No matter what time I go to bed, 10pm, 1am, 3am and take my Xyzal and Flucin-cream, I have for the past 6 days woke up between 7:43 and 7:48 am. No alarm, no usual schedule of that, nothing.
My current dermotologist takes over a month to get into, and he seems convinced that its an allergy thing and wants to run a allergy test on me. I think it has nothing to do with allergies.
I have a rash that started all over my stomach but has spread to my breast, chest, shoulders, sides, underarms and my back. It continues to spread & the dermatologist does not know what it is. My biopsy results came back as negative for Pityriasis Rosea. I am currently using a prescribed anti-itch cream (I think it's spelled Kenalog or Keno???) & Xyzal but nothing is stopping the itching. What is it?
ENT said eustachian tube dysfunction due to allergies (tested positive for various inhalent allergies) and said to use Xyzal and Flonase. Xyzal made me too sleepy so stopped, and Flonase has done nothing. ENT said it would take Flonase a month to clear up the ETD. The constant ear popping wouldn't bother me if it weren't accompanied by the lightheadedness and brain fog, which sometimes by the end of the day turns into a very bad headache and then disappears.

As I told u I visited a general physician without disclosing him STD exposure. Now after taking 3 days medicine proposed by him Atarax and Xyzal. Rather I m now observing general redness of skin on hands also.
Do you suggest visiting skin specialist or any other blood test ?
t have any significant problems during the cluster phase, just very annoying redness, swelling and major mega itching at the injection sites. Oh yeah, and the more concentrated doses burn.I wasn't really expecting that, plus it stays sore a few hours later but that's not a big deal. Now I will get getting my shot every two weeks, probably until the end of the summer or mid fall and then maybe it will be once a month she thinks. I have already noticed some improvements.
m going to be 40 this year and I have to take anti-histamines every day now or else within a day of stopping I start itching on my hands like mad, then my head and legs start itching and then I come out in hives, mainly on my legs and bum and especially if it's even slightly cool.
As I live in the UK the weather is never hot enough for me to go without the tablets.
the hives lessened but never fully went away. my weight ballooned and i was in a constant stupor and NOT HAPPY. oh noooo. eventually i started bi-weekly sessions of acupuncture which really really helped and finally i was off the medication. i still take a daily xyzal otherwise the hives come back not the anaphylaxis though. it took another 2 years to lose the steroid bloat.
the steroids muck up your system totally. still can't take most dairy products.
abdominal pain loss of appetite and loss of weight 15 pounds in 3 months. discharge with a dough like texture but no smell. I am taking xyzal but my appetite has slowly decreased every day. Now i am to the point that I dont want to eat at all. If I do eat all I want to eat is nuts. Also have been trying to get pregnant for 1 1/2 years after miscarriage.
