Hi, fast heart rate is due to Xopenex. Initially, use of this drug is associated with this side effect but over a period of time, tolerance usually develops. In case if you have a pre exisiting heart disease, please avoid this drug.
Consult you treating doctor to lower the dose or frequency, other alternative is sustained release deriphylline tablets.
However, my son has been on other medications for sinisitis and bronchitis that could account for a headache. He now off of pulmicort, xopenex and nasonex. He is currently going through allergy testing as well. It is very difficult for me to try to determine the cause of the headache with so much going on with him. He is feeling completely better aside from this headache.
He said that he must have gotten some sort of virus and it triggered his asthma. He told me to continue his Singulair, Pulmicort Respules one time a day, Xopenex in the nebulizer every four hours, and he prescribed Prednisone two times per day (dr. said to start the steroid only if the cough does not slow down).
So on Wednesday morning, my son woke up at 6:30am coughing non-stop....coughing so much that he vomited!
He told her to check into a unit and get off the meds except the anti rejection meds. Before she saw him (last week by the way) she had made up her mind to get off all of it anyway. She had already stopped the pain med she had been on for quite a while before she saw him and that shows she is serious about it. The likely reason for the shingles is an ortho gave her 3 steroid shots in a 2-3 month time period for very severe pain as her "hamstring" was torn loose in her pelvic area.
I have PAD as well as pain in legs from fibromyalgia. Would a TENS unit be safe and probably helpful for my leg pain (especially calves)?
Either way though, with your reactions after exercise, it sounds like a fast acting broncho dilater (some form of albuterol - Proventil, Porair, Maxair, Xopenex, Ventolin) might be a good idea. These medications can be used as a pretreatment for exercise eliminating the reaction and allowing for a better workout.

So if you are experiencing frequent attacks of asthma, you should try to prevent triggering agents which cause asthma and also get evaluated by a pulmonologist for correction of dose of polemicist for preventing further attacks of asthma. Hope this helps. Best.
Before you change your dose, you should do it gradually... my doctor had me start by removing only 1 unit of my morning dose of Lantus, and then that night I took 1 unit of Lantus. That meant that I was only 1 unit shy of my total for the day. Then I waited 2 days to see what the pattern would be (you could even wait longer to see what happens). Then I did the same procedure again, removing another unit from my morning dose of Lantus and adding it to my evening dose.
but thinking about it a bit backwards....Effective dose is measured in Sieverts, which is a completely different (but related) unit that takes into account both the dose of radiation recieved and the sensitivity of the tissue irradiated based on the stochastic effects of radiation on the tissue in question.
If you have a 20 mGy exposure, then that is the maximum dose any tissue in the path of the radiation can recieve.
immunologist, I got better, also, know that if you are told to use wetting agent, such as I bought, the Neilmed Sinus Gel, it has synthetic hyaluronic acid in it, I reacted to it violently with one dose, as well as Omnaris nasal spray with 2 doses in 24 hours, lungs dropped to 50%. he gave me the sample, in fact, every sample he gave me I reacted to eventually. Spiriva, Symbicort. Do not use Symbicort or any drugs with Formoterol in them. Dangerous. Look it up.

Recently she was sick and coughing uncontrollably and we did xopenex and the 20 minute rescue treatment because she was still coughing after the first dose of xopenex. We ended up going to the ER. The Er Dr. said she had a bad sinus infection (as x rays were taken of her sinuses). He gave us an antibiotic and told us not to use the xopenex as it wasn't working anyway. He said her cough was an irritated cough and not an asthmatic cough. We scheduled an appt. back with the pulmonologist.
She was tested for allergies and asthma twice She takes singulair albuterol inhaler and xopenex viles in her nebulizer according to the recommendations of the doctor . Each time she has a spell of not getting her breath she also experiences heart pounding episodes Also after strenuous exercise occasionally this heart pounding occurs.
