About a month and a half ago i woke up with my eyes very red and crusty in both eyes. I believed it was pink eye and when i went to the doctor they prescribed Pataday as well as some other drops i would apply 4 times a day. My eyes got better and i did not wear my contacts at all. They said to only put your contacts in after 2 days of my eyes bein completely white .
Weeks passed and i did that. Then i noticed my eyes started getting red again.
I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
i went to the doctors yesterday and after i did some research on the two drops you mentioned and i found patanol eye drops here on prescription in australia, which contains the same active ingredient as pataday drops just in a two drops twice a day method because its only 1mg not 2.22mg like pataday, i have done 2 doses of the drops and on my lord they are awesome! the redness has settled right down much quicker than in the past!
I have chronic eyelid margin swelling in the outside corners of both of my eyes and it extends 2 inches beyond the eye lids towards the cheek. There is pain, inflamation, and itching in the outside corners of both eyes for the past several months mostly in the skin area. Recently, my eyes have also started to burn and when they burn severely, my eye lashes fall. My eyes are always tired and I've lost the fresh look.
I was diagnosed with GPC 2 months ago and I've been using Tobradex for two months. My Opthamologist says my lids look better, but there is still some allergen there. He told me that I need to stop taking the Tobradex because apparently it's not good to take it for a long period of time. I've stopped taking it and my eyes are back to feeling awful. They didn't feel 100% back to normal on the Tobradex, but it helped!
If the ocular herpes is active don't use it.
I was diagnosed with GPC and recently ended the use of steroid drops. Ever since I've stoped the steroid drops, I've woken up with crusty, glued eyes. Could the lingering GPC be causing this? I've been doing artificial tears multiples times a day and Pataday drops 2x a day. I have a follow up appointment soon, I'm thinking about trying to move it up if this is something serious.
I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.
5 years of shots, one in each arm, every week and it did NOTHING. The only relief I get is when winter returns. If I rinse my eyes out with cold water and apply a cold rag compress, it gives some relief. That's not so awesome when you wear makeup. I'm waiting for the day that someone finally finds a cure for seasonal allergies. When you don't suffer from them, you have no idea how horrible it is.
I am a contact lens wearer, and I continually getting eye infections, for about the past 2 years. (I've been wearing contacts for about 5 years.) My eyes get very red and become painful, and occasionally swell. I become very light-sensitive and my pupils constrict to the point where I can barely keep my eyes open. I have removed my lenses to see a mucus-like build up on several occasions. My doctor has prescribed me TobraDex in the past, which sometimes helps after a few days.
I have used Restasis and have tried allergy drops. My eyes are always red and feel as if I have something in them (which is the bumps under my eyelids). Does anyone know what I can do about this. I've been to so many eye Dr's. and I cannot get them cleared up. I used to wear contact lenses and now I can no longer wear them. It has been almost 5 years since I was able to wear my contacts. Some Dr's. want to give me steriod drops, but I do not want to put them in my eyes.
I sugegst you to use acular eye drops to get rid of dry eyes & it helps to improve eye vision.
The bridge of my nose, inner corners of my eyes and below my eyes along the side of my nose itch 24 hours a day. The itching is extremely intense. This began four years ago. Allergy eye drops plus steroid drops have helped a bit, but my ophthalmologist wants me to end the steroid drops so I have already started cutting back to only one drop a day, rather than two. The itching is already become unbearable.
My face is broke out with a rash of some type and the skin on my face itches allot around outer surface of the eye area. No irratation at all inside my eyes. I has been 6 weeks straight now. The doctor has me taking antihistimine drops ( Pataday) in my eyes, Omnaris Nasal Spray and , Zyrtec by mouth. No relief in a week and a half so far. My upper eyelids are now red and irratated all the time.
Have you have been evaluated to see if you have something called 'Dry Eye'? It's very common as we get older, and leaky, teary eyes are, paradoxically, one of the most troublesome signs (you can google 'dry eye' and see if you recognize yourself there).
The rezoom lens almost certainly has nothing to do with your symptoms, but it sounds as though it's time for you to have another visit with your eye doctor about the excessive tearing.
Neither Maxitrol or tobradex are good choice for allergic conjunctivitis. Both often irritate the eye and have harseh preservatives in them. You would best use a good artificial tear: Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
My eyes experience a mild redness (especially in the inside corners of eyes), burning, uncomfortable irritation with increased light sensitivity for the past three months that occurred initially during a trial of Xalatan (I was not wearing contact lenses at the time). I've been to three opthalmologists (one is a repected corneal/external disease specialist at university).
