I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol. I take metformin for the diabetes and simvastatin for the cholesterol. Recently, (just the last few days), my ears have steadily grown in "fullness". It happens mainly at night when I lay down to sleep. Most times I just fall asleep and wake up fine. But tonight, when the fullness came on, I started feeling dizzy while laying down and that started a litlle anxiety episode and here it is 3+ hours later.

t know what the price differences are for smaller dose pills but assuming the worse that they are higher in price, and that the Dr wants me to take 1/2 the dose, would cutting the pills in half have the same effect as getting 20mg pills?

I had to stop taking Lipitor last year because of the side effects of this statin - I felt like I had the flu, with aches all over. When the non-stop intestinal side effects kicked in to the point I was passing blood I waved the surrender flag. I went off the lipitor, with my cardio's knowledge, and almost immediately felt better. This was all BEFORE I had read the problems with statin drugs.

I love being the contrarian..... I've been on a statin, Simvastatin to be precise for more than five years? This follows a protracted period of trying to reduce my cholesterol "naturally". Her blood pressure spike really high which is why she takes the strong Verapamil in the morning and a softer blood pressure medication (Benicar) at night. Anyway, after the episode where I had to take her to the emergency room we got her back on her usual routine of Verapamil and Benicar.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if most of you feel better at any certain time of the day. I have noticed that I feel my best in the evening, and the worst in the mornings when I am attempting to get ready for the day. I know that perhaps the warm shower may pose a problem, but I am sometimes really cold and it takes a while for my to warm up. I go to my regular Dr. on Monday. m going to ring the docs in the morning as even if it was the flu I would have thought after ten days the achs from flu would have gone , I have never had flu where I've ached for this long . He may well be getting too much pain medicine. Fentanyl, fentora, and opana are all strong pain meds..... depending upon metabolism and times of dose the lunesta and the diazepam may be interacting. Just got new script for Synthroid combined with Cytomel and my Endo wants me to take the Synthroid and half the dose of the Cytomel in the morning and the rest of the Cytomel in the evening.
