Avatar n tn I was just wondering if some here could help me please. This has been going off and on for 6years since I was 23yo when i woke up one morning 'after my hens party' with one eye swollen red and a white discharge! i thought it might have been triggered by the makeup trial i had done the night of my hens. but it keeps coming back! I've been to many eye specialist and allergy specialist to no one knowing how to help but prescribe steroid eye drops!
1317224 tn?1378705134 S, to live in and we pay for that privilige ten fold even tho my family has lived here for 8 generations and that is why so many people work 2 jobs if you want to live well. Healthcare costs in themselves are really not out of control it is the inanimate expenses that are bad....look at your itemized bill and i bet your doc wasn't paid that much in comparison to the cost of the hospital and equipment and meds, etc. thats where its a little crazy...
Avatar m tn If the ocular herpes is active don't use it.
Avatar m tn Pataday is for allergy. While I cannot give you an exact diagnosis the most common problem by far is contact lens related problem not dry eye which is extremely rare in a male age 18. Generally it means your contacts are not fitting, you are not wearing them properly or disposing at correct interval or have developed a problem called GPC (giant papillary conjunctivitis). you will need to work through this with whomever fits your contact lens.
Avatar n tn Zaditor is NOT the same as Patanol or Pataday. My doctor told me not to mix and match. NOW AARP Rx is sending me a generic Olopatadine HCL by Rising Labs and I am paying the same price as the Brand Patanol which works great for me. I live in NE NJ..
Avatar m tn I suffer from the exact same thing with the inside corner of my eye driving me crazy at times it itches so bad. What has helped me is Rx eye drops called Pataday. It is for itchy allergy eyes, and sometimes I put a drop or two on the end of a q-tip and dab it in that corner of my eye and sometimes I put the drop directly into the eye. Works wonders. Whether it is allergy or irritation of some sort, the drops take the itch away for me. I hope this works for you.
Avatar f tn God only knows I was one of them. Sometimes corrective lenses are the best choice. A more expensive yet effective method is of course corrective/LASIK surgery. You can do several things. Make sure your contacts are the right size. Also, make sure your eyes are properly lubricated. This is especially important in people who use contacts. Good luck!
Avatar f tn ) good luck to you! It is all so worth it!
Avatar f tn s very difficult driving while your eyes are tearing all the time. Also, the light outdoors is so very bright, I have to wear very dark sunglasses. It had seemed to flare up after I contacted pink eye. The whites of my eyes are fine, but tearing is so very excessive. Do you have any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
Avatar f tn With children (and consequently custody and support issues to be decided) if she goes into court unrepresented she will not do well. By the way, $2600 is not particularly expensive and if you consider what is at stake here it is a small price to pay to protect her interests.
702707 tn?1228703861 They do have an assistance program for suboxone but if you have any kind of insurance you don't qualify. I know it is expensive, but the reason you are taking it is to get your life back and for that, there should be no price limit.
Avatar f tn Keratoconus and Coguns Corneal Dystrophy. Recently a syst has formed in the corner of each eye. Can't tell if it has added to already existing discomfort. Have beenn Restasis, Alrex , Pataday and now Muro ointment. I see a well known Corneaologist and he wants me to have the Amniotic Membrane Transplant especially now that I have developed the eye cysts.
Avatar n tn Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
Avatar n tn Neither is specific for dry eyes. pataday is a once/day allergy eye drop and Xibrom is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory. If your problems are truely dry eyes you would do better with frequent artifical tears, a lubricating gel at bedtime, oral fish oil (2-4 enteric coated/day) and if moderate or severe then a 6 month trial of Restasis.
Avatar f tn ve had the same symptoms for a few years - not an unbearable itch, so not as bad as you describe - but my nasal bridge and under my inner eyebrows is always itchy. In the deepest corners I have small cysts or whitish pimples that appeared over the years and are unchanging. they don't seem to be the source, but I wonder.
Avatar n tn I forgot to add. At my last appointment, My doctor told me to use something like Pataday and artificial tears.
Avatar f tn Why do you think it is a blocked tear duct? You are providing too little information for me to comment. You might consider seeing an oculo-plastic surgeon. They treat blocked tear ducts. Dr. O.
4114400 tn?1349923931 They really are! Least your Medicaid helps and get a refund! I have to pay $200 out of pocket for my son. I'm glad my mom Is goin' to help with pay for It. It's expensive, but It'll be worth It In my opinion.
7600327 tn?1393358885 For some reason all I wanna eat is Lobster & Steak. I'm about to wake my husband up right now, so he can take me to Joe's Crab Shack. I've been dreaming about their Lobster Daddy Feast. Are any of you ladies having this issue?
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with GPC and recently ended the use of steroid drops. Ever since I've stoped the steroid drops, I've woken up with crusty, glued eyes. Could the lingering GPC be causing this? I've been doing artificial tears multiples times a day and Pataday drops 2x a day. I have a follow up appointment soon, I'm thinking about trying to move it up if this is something serious.
Avatar f tn I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.
