I bought a bottle of Patanol eye drops about a month and three weeks ago, I found the box a couple days ago and noticed on the box that it says discard thirty days after opening... The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....

The only change I have made in my life style is to take Patanol eye drops for allergy eyes. I have been using them once daily for 4 months. Could it be that this antihistamine can be causing this increase in my blood pressure? I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall.
A few months ago I was walking to my friends house and had something fly into my eye. As soon as I went to his place I took my contact lenses off and tried rubbing the foreign body out with water, but only managed to scratch my cornea in the process. Then I put my contact lenses back on not knowing what I had just done and my left eye had an infection, my eye was sensitive to light, it felt itchy, every time i blinked it hurt VERY bad.
Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
i went to the doctors yesterday and after i did some research on the two drops you mentioned and i found patanol eye drops here on prescription in australia, which contains the same active ingredient as pataday drops just in a two drops twice a day method because its only 1mg not 2.22mg like pataday, i have done 2 doses of the drops and on my lord they are awesome! the redness has settled right down much quicker than in the past!
I've had severe red eyes for almost 2 years and today was diagnosed with Superior Limbic Keratoconjunctivitis. This was the first time I'd consulted a doctor/opthamologist in that regard.

I am using patanol and vigamox. Problem is i have like a white discharge on my eye and it does not like to come out. I use a hot compress twice a day then i try to rinse my eye and flush my eye as well. Nothing it just remains in my eye.Most of the time i go to bed and it still there. When the white discharge remains in my eye for too long it gets hard and crust and sticks to my skin this hearts really bad.

s because I stopped getting allergy shots?? Could that be the entire problem? Is it the contacts? Is it the contact solutions? Do I have some weird disease? Do I have a infection that just hasn't gone away in 2 years (even though I've done steroid drops multiple times). I clean my hands very well and the contacts too so I know it's not hygiene. I have these symptoms at any place I live/sleep.
s so silght that it is not the cause of the ghost images. He prescribed Patanol and said to come back in 4 weeks. So far -- it's been two days -- the eyedrops aren't helping at all.
Couple of other things: About two months ago, I had a CT scan of the head and a blood test done because I experienced dizziness and nausea. The cause turned out to be a sinus infection, but no other problems have been turned up.
If you had the hole in the iris then this is what you should request of your Eye MD. 1. explain your symptoms. 2. The glasses testing technician should do a pre-dilation glasses test using what is called "fogging" technique and "push plus" on the testing. 3. You then need to be dilated with at least two sets of dilating drops one of which should be a "cycloplegic" usually tropicamide.
The dark brown discharge lasted a week and no smell and now its a beige color and just a teeny tiny bit of blood drops. I have no idea what is going on. But there is usually no bleeding until after intercorse and like i mentioned before it is only a few drops. I dont feel nausous or sore breas or any other symptom of pregnancy. My 5 yr old son is suffering from vernal conjunctivitis since last year. At the onset of spring, his eyes become red and then in a month , the limbus area in both the eyes get swelled.
Last year, he was treated with patanol and then FML for the inflammation.
This year, again when FML(Tapered dose starting with 3 times) and Tacroz( 0.03% , once at bedtime) was prescribed. We took a second opinion and Lotepred( tapered dose starting with 4 times/day) was prescribed.
