From what you described, it's very unlikely she is pregnant.. there needs to be penetration for their to be a pregnancy %99.9 of the time. Also, if she took plan B that reduces and small risk there was even smaller..

Plan B is a high dose of levonorgestrel, which is one of the synthetic progestins available in birth control pills. The "period" you get on the pill is actually bleeding caused by the withdrawal of the hormones during the inactive pill week, and not a true period you would get if you were ovulating normally. Plan B is known to cause menstrual irregularities after taking it, and my guess is that you're having withdrawal bleeding after that dose of hormones.

He didn't used protection that time but one thing is I am sure of. He didn't ejaculated his sperms inside mine. I don't know if his precum is inside. Maybe yes or I don't know because I remember that I wiped his with my hand before he put it inside. But I am not sure of it because there would be some still inside of his right?
so early monday morning , my boyfriend and i were having sex and our condom broke . i have levonorgestrel at my disposal , but i haven't used it as a regular birth control . we had a similar situation a few months ago , and i used 4 pills of levonorgestrel immediately , & then 4 more in 12 hours following the first dosage , as recommended by a university healthcare website . everything worked out fine , & i felt very mild abdominal pain .
I highly doubt you are pregnant seeming you only had your period a week ago. Maybe it is a side effect to the pill you took or taking. Call you Dr and go get checked. Good luck Hun and keep us posted please.
I checked my period cycle and it says I ovulated a week before this incident occurred and apparently ovum disintegrate after about 24 hours of not being fertilized. I took Plan B Levonorgestrel 30 hours after the incident occurred but ive been stressing like crazy. I started taking vitamin C supplements and turmeric because I heard it induces a period and I'm going to use some warm compresses on my stomach as well to induce it if possible.
People as young as 23 have died and had stroke. While I understand that there is always a risk of DVT, depression or stroke when taking contraceptive pills, I was thinking, there are other brand of pills which contains more or less the same hormones ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. So should I be concerned? I have been on other brand of pills in the past which contained ethinylestradiol and norethisterone and I was fine with it.
Bleeding is pretty normal with emergency contraception pills. They are a dose of hormones, and can mess up your cycle. They are pretty effective when taken in 72 hours of unprotected sex. Of course they are not 100% so you should still test in a few weeks but I wouldn't worry that much about it. I have taken them several times over the years and they always worked.
They are not abortion pills! They prevent a pregnancy but do not cause an abortion when taken correctly.
Sharma please do your research. Levonorgestrel is a cause of hair loss in women. Every single birth control that contains high androgen index progestins can cause hair loss. Stop telling women Plan B and birth control pills don’t cause hair loss. They do. The more doctors that understand this - the less of a problem women will have as they can make an informed choice. Please do your research. A simple search on any big BCP air IUD containing high androgen index progestins will show you this.
I have been researching the cardiovascular effects of birth control and saw that it can raise c-reactive protein levels. How clinically significant is this? I know crp is a measure of inflammation in the body. So is increasing it's level going to actually cause inflammation? Or is it simply upregulated, and if so what are the consequences of that? Agree with ppowb. Emergency contraceptive though is hardly worth the time if you aren't going to take it the right way. If she is late, take a pregnancy test. She likely isn't but stranger things have happened. The one pill may have created enough of a disturbance in her hormones to prevent conception from happening. Let's hope!
