In his last 24 hours, I found him blindly wandering around, rapidly, anxiously, climbing all over furniture in the living room (much more physical then he had been in weeks) but whenever he had anxiety like that it had been prior to needing to vomit so that is what I attributed it too.

Everything you described sounds normal. You may have hypacondria.. and slight anxiety. When you start thinking and worrying what's wrong with you and everything sounds like that's what it could be. Your heart rate and everything is very good. And blood sugars.. I'd say it's all in your mind.

So far, I have only been able to find news-wire reports on the DexCom product, and most of what I've found is aimed at investors interested in their "IPO" (initial public offering). There are some interesting opinions included in these articles, but hardly the answers you're seeking:

Many pumpers, myself included, have found that (1) Novolog is much more stable in our pumps than Humalog, (2) changing infusion sets, cartridge/reservoir, tubing (and not reusing these disposables) twice a week is helpful. Finally, after years of using a 30degree infusion set, I changed to use the shorter 90 degree set that works with "spring loaded" inserter. While I resisted that change for quite a while, I find that these work well for me and the insertion is ... as they say ...
I had a friend with her first child was severely anemic and had to have blood infusion. Her daughter is almost 2 now and she is fine. The carboplatin is infused VERY slowly over about 8 hours. The amount of drug and the rate are gradually increased throughout the infusion..
I should also add that prior to going on the carboplatin, I was on Taxol, alone, for 2 years and it was very effectivie. As you know, with this disease, we are all different and it is a matter of finding what works for the individual. There are many options and I hope your mum is able to find something that will work.
