Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.

Sorry if this is too much tmi; currently 11wks 4dys..i went to see my OB Monday b/c i had been experiencing some discharge, after intercourse it would be swollen and seemed to be imflammaed & irratated, my OB did a pelvic exam and there was no uti, yeast infection, std, or any other type of infection..he said he looked like leukerrohea which he said was normal during pregnancy its just my body cleaning itself from all the extra estrogen and hormones that my body is producing.

As long as you are not pregnant, there will not be any adverse effects. I only mention pregnancy, because it was prescribed by an OBGYN. Fluconazole is generally not safe in pregnancy unless in a severe emergency.
But Propranolol and Fluconazole taken together will not interact with each other.

Hi, We are not doctors on these forums but I am a microbiologist and will try to help. Did the doctor think it was a fungus or a yeast? Did they culture it? Is it on the outer skin or inside? I think the drug may have made you sensitive or allergic possibly. You can try another type of drug that is not ending in azole as the fungi get resistant to these. One is Lamisil (terbinafine). It is an over the counter cream (topical) or maybe they have a spray. Use it as directed.
So I was diagnosed with a yeast infection earlier in the month and was prescribed fluconazole for it. But a few days later I seen my partner again and we did it without protection and he thinks he has it as well.

Around Nov. 2010, I had sex with a girl, who bit me during oral sex & ever since then, I’ve had problems. My penis size has decreased (I was 5.2-6.2 inches long before any of this has happened) now I am 4-4.5 inches. Sometimes my penis skin feels tight like it can't go longer, but I'm circumcised. As for where to stick the tampon. Once again a good anatomy book that tells you where everything is will be really helpful and once you have read it, go and get a mirror and find all those things on yourself. Thanks for the input. Stopping Fluconazole is not an option for me at this time. I should mention I have a ICD. It was placed in May of this year. It shocked me 3 weeks ago while I was playing on-line video games. I think when I got excited and my heartrate rose, instead of returning to a normal hr, it reached 288 BPM, thats when the therapy was delivered. Gotta love that phrase... anyway, doctor says I can't drive for a little while...*******.
Not one of them can offer me any advice on how to rid myself of this painful illness, except for advising me to use antifungals on a regular basis. I find that fluconazole (Diflucan) works better than any of the others I've tried except Mycelex troches (which helps somewhat). In spite of trying yogurt, lactobacillus pills, caprylic acid, and eating less sugary food, and taking 150 mg of fluconazole daily for a over a week, the infection always returns.

It is sold in powder packets for humans for poison ivy but what you do is mix a 1packet with about 6-8oz of luke warm water and use an oral syringe and squirt it into the dogs ears twice a day. Massage the ear real good and wipe out solution and gunk with some gauze. This will help change the ph in the ear and dry it out but use solution for one day then mix fresh the next day. Do this before putting the drops in that you get from your vet.
Could be a fungal infection (thrush) - taking oral fluconazole (available from pharmacies without prescription in most countries) should clear it up.
i already did and he says the test for fungus is negative and the fluconazole pills for fungus that he gave me didnt do anything which prob means theres no fungus to kill. could it be bacterial???
I am a 27 years old uncircumcised Single male. Last year in July had sex with a call girl and condom got ruptured. After a month I went for HIV tests which were negative.
