I have been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome. I have had 4 mc and have recently talked with the doctors about trying to have another baby with this blood problem. As far as I can tell the only way I can do this is to give myself two shots of heparin a day and take a baby aspirin. The result would be a baby they say, but this scares me taking heparin and then having a c-section. Anyone else that has been diagnosed with this or whom can help me please respond.
I have been on Coumadin for 18 years due to Lupus Anticoagulant (Antiphospholipid Syndrome) and several DVTs. In 2005 had MI with occlusion of the LAD artery and had drug stent inserted and I am still on plavix. My doc has debated when to take me off the Plavix safely....what are the recent studies about this dilemma? thanks so much!
Last night in my room , im not clear if I stepped on something or bumbed my toe (on the outer side) ....the pain felt like glass but there wasn't any I think...today as im taking a shower I notice the area near my toe is purple with pink....im scared because I don't know why its like that, typicall when glass goes in a foot, you just pluck it out or it stays in and comes out eventually, but never does the area where theglass went in turn purple ...
I injured my toe playing soccer, the opponent and I kicked at the ball at the same time and ended up kicking each other toe to toe. After the game I was expecting a red or purple bruise, but it was blue. Not a bluish purple but more of a cyan color. It hurts like other toe injuries I have had but the coloring is what I find odd. It is now 4 days after and the color has not changed like a normal bruise. Should I be concerned or no?
If you have natural yogurt you can apply that to your toe and lots of it.
Otherwise apply a cold compresses and lightly cover the food with a cloth or bandage and elevate your foot.
Go to the ER and get your toe xrayed when the hospital is open, to see if you have broken the toe. With broken toes they are usually strapped to the next toe.

It started as a yellow ish toe nail and seemed to get a little thicker but stopped growing longer at all. Now with no trauma what so ever both toe nails of the second biggest toe on each foot, one has one perfectly straight purple line across is at the top of the nail and the other one has 3 of these lines? I was diagnosed with ITP last September I'm not sure if that's related at all?
5 years things have progressed and my feet swell and toes turn very purple almost black when I stand or sit. I know it’s linked somehow to my back issues because they are worse when symptoms/pain is worse. I’ve been sent to numerous docs who can’t figure it out. It’s not Raynods and I have a good pulse in my feet. Side note, several MRI’s and one Neuro reports that they see a metal fragment in my surgical bed. Likely a piece of the drill or something fragmented off.
The first doctor treated it as staph and the next told me it was nerves. Now the lesions are still there, the toe pain and dots are back and killing me, my feet and hands turn purpilsh colors, ive gotton a rash on my feet ankles and half up my legs since i was little from the sun. Im exhausted, achy, headachy, my glands are always very swollen and i am so very frustrated.

The doctor who treated my P.E., said that she had to prescribe more warfarin for me than she ever had to for any other patient in her 20 year career. She specializes in treating post-operative emboli.
Every week I had my blood drawn to gauge how much my warfarin dosage should be.
Every week for months it was increased.
I think I have toenail fungus my toe nail on my right foot has been great is she lol and it's been covered with purple dark purple nail polish my toenail yesterday just started falling off its almost all the way off and I'm wondering if I should take the rest of and if it's going to grow back please help
on the toe nail? where on the toe? if it is on the nail, that is dried blood. it takes a long time for them to grow out..
if you wear a shoe that has little height in the toebox, the toenails get bruised when you walk and bleed. the blood dries and has to grow outward with the nail. the nail grows 1 mm/month. it usually only happens to the big toes b/c they are the thickest and get rubbed more readily in these type of shoes. clogs can do this too...

He looks just like his uncle - the wide space between his first and second toe, the almond shaped eyes, the long body and short legs. Just because a physical feature is associated with DS, doesn't mean DS always causes that feature. If you've done all the proper testing, it's pretty likely the child in question does not have DS.
A year ago i developed a cluster of bumps on my toe. They stayed for months. Turning bruised and discusting. Once they went away, they came back in a different way on my toe. Same type of thing though, bumps that turn purple bruised and stay for a very long time, it also makes my joint swollen.. On New Years Eve my husband and I were dancing. I had on open toed shoes, he had on boots. Didn't end well. One big misstep and my big toe is bleeding. ALOT. I looked down at my toe, and had time to think "oh this is gonna hurt" before the pain hit. I couldn't tell if my toe was split, or my toenail, blood was just running everywhere. Got home soaked it, and saw that my nail was cracked about 3/4 of the way right down the middle.
If the nail is black ands blue, it will eventually come off and regrow. Not a big problem. If, on the other hand the toe is purple, you have a potential emergency and need to see a podiatrist immediately for an in-person evaluation. Ocasionally toe infections develop into osteomyelitis, which can spread to the bones of the feet.
