I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.
My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. Do you know if that will help with his concentration at school?

Hi! So I just had to come to google to see why my Vyvanse wasn't working for me anymore, and I saw your comment.. I have been on Vyvanse for maybe a year now and have found that my 70 mg dosage just isn't kicking in or working as well as it used to for me anymore?? So is this happening with you as well? Like it's still really hard for me to focus, and I really don't feel the effect of the medicine at all anymore. I wonder whats happening?

I might be needing something like 160 mg of Vyvanse. I am also on Wellbutrin and Ketamine now for depression. I take Ambien and Lorazepam to fall asleep. I know there is a link between the stimulants that I take during the day and the sleep aid pills at night. I wish I could stop the Lorazepam 4mg because it is useless most of the time , and it is making me depressed. I am on 20 mg of Ambien. I know I am on high doses of meds. I am trying to decrease them and get to better more stable state.
-Concerta completely tweaked me out and I got nothing accomplished. It felt like I was on speed and could not think clear, and I got an extremely cold feeling and experienced anxiety.. so a definite no go there
- Adderall was an improvement over Concerta but still left me with too much stimulant and less clear thinking. I proceeded to use Adderall for over a year until I had a friend told me about Vyvanse.
I am also on a diet where I eat high carbs in the morning, take the vyvanse and then make myself eat a bit of protein every two hours. 5 lbs in one week so far seems pretty damn nice. I am not afraid to be hungry or anything, or working out of course (which i paused this week to see how i was on the new meds) my concern is the side effects of to topamax (confusion and hair-loss) and the fact that the interaction between vyvanse and trintellix is marked as "severe".
Reduced me back to 40mg Vyvanse in the am and because I said the 100% d-amp (realizing that is in effect what Vyvanse is after it cleaves) was making me too jittery switched me to a new drug - Evekeo. Which is 50% d-amp and 50% l-amp... From what I can research (bad habit on my part) the l-amp is what causes all the side effects people don't like in Adderall? The 50/50 split of D/L amps is, from what I can tell, the exact formulation of Benzedrine - which was removed from the market?
ve heard a lot about peoples positive experiences with Vyvanse. I know that everyone is different, and different meds work for different people, but seeing as Vyvanse is still in the same "family" of stimulants, I'm worried to get too hopeful. I.e have I already ruined my chances with Vyvanse due to my adderall use?
Has anyone who responded positively to Adderall initially, and then experienced a large decrease in effectiveness, had luck with switching to Vyvanse?

I take 1.5 mg Klonopin + 50 mgs of Vyvanse. I have ADD but the Vyvanse is also prescribed for depression as I cannot take absolutely any antidepressant without incredible agitation. That started several years ago.
Here's the problem at hand, as it starts: Every time I sleep, whether day (as in nap, a rare occasion) or night, I have disturbing dreams I can't put a finger on. I'm often very sad anxious and in some type of bad situation.
I will only eat things i like such as lasagna and burgers and hot dogs and pizza and things like that. then i bought a protein shake called serious mass to gain weight and i'm hoping that works even though i was told i have to eat 3 meals a day and drink the shake in between. i need help getting myself to eat and i'm thinking about buying pills that gives me appetite.

My 12 year old son was switched to Vyanse. He's been on it for about 6 months. His dose was upped to 40mg. This seemed to work for a while. He got sick with flu and misse about 8 days of school. During this time he had to take antibiotics. I stopped the Vyanse abruptly so he didn't have to take it at the same time as antibiotics. By the end of the week, when his flu was better, antibiotics finished, I gave him his 40mg dose. His mood had changed by end of week also.
I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
sometimes I take 50mg vyvanse the day after its 35, then 40, then 50 and so on. Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse. What I am doing basically is experimenting the best dosage and combination. But I did not overdose. I measured my blood pressure just a moiment ago and it was 128/85 pulses: 91)
Also: my doctor changed my Wellbutrin dosage from 100 SR once a day to 100 SR twice a day.
Well, it was not the Lithium that caused the twitching, as I had a Lithium level drawn after stopping it and the Vyvanse, and my level was a little bit low, indicating that it had probably been at normal levels just a day or two before. Now I have a script for Concerta to replace the Vyvanse, I am just waiting on insurance's prior authorization. I am still on the Prozac and am back on Abilify. The twitching slowly subsided, as did the eye pain, nausea, and dizziness.
The wellbutrin cause be extremme levels of anxiety and made my vyvanse useless.
