So I went to the toilet and forced my self to be sick, gagging quite a few times, then large amounts of food started coming up, then about a hand full of red fresh looking blood came up. I have no abdominal pain or burning etc. Do you think this could have been a result of something tearing in my system or could it be a bleeding ulser? I was worrried so the next day I drank just water and forced myself to be sick and only water came out. Please help.

my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.

either you have an injury inside of the lung, or you have an injury somewhere else that is bleeding to your stomach and you vomit blood cause of this. The stomach has a thing for not allowing too much blood be ingested, hence why you would puke it out. Regardless, you should go to the ER asap.

ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!

So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?

Go to the ER. Honestly your baby is probably ok, BUT vomiting blood can mean lots of things. You could have torn something in your stomach/throat that is now bleeding. Or something more serious. N ot trying to stressyou out! But you should go to the Dr.

You need to get that checked out...not a good sign to be vomiting blood...alcoholics are prone to intestinal bleeds...go have it checked out....and I guess you already know drinking aggravates this condition..

How much blood? If you are vomiting red blood you could have a bleeding ulcer and that is an emergency. I have had a tiny amount before and it was due to irritation in my throat. You should at least make an appointment with your physician. If you vomit red blood, become dizzy or faint or have black sticky stools you should go to the emergency room.

Did you heave a lot before vomiting? It could have been a little blood mixed in or even something you ate. If it burned coming up could have been stomach acid. Sometimes if blood and acid mix it can turn black. I would maybe bring it up to your doc at your next appointment. It could also just be one of those one time things that have no explanation. I wouldn't worry to much.

If your throwing up blood id definitely call your doc, even if you know the cause of it. They might be able to give you something. I don't know from experience but id call just to be safe.

It was a moderate amount of blood and 2 definite blood clots. Her blood work, off the charts in some areas, has normalised but her urine showed high protein and she has high blood pressure; she is taking enalapril for both of these.
