Avatar f tn I am not sure why another physician will not see you. Liability for what? Are you in litigation? If that is the case than yes, physicians will be less apt to see you or treat you. It's sad but true. Physicians are leery of ppl that are involved in legal action. If you are not in litigation then I am unclear as to why they would refuse to see you. If you have pain it needs to be diagnosed and treated.
Avatar m tn The Public Citizen analysis asserts that malpractice litigation is not the cost-driver in healthcare that some political conservatives depict it to be. Between 2000 and 2010, malpractice payments fell 11.9%, whereas healthcare spending rose 90% (both in terms of unadjusted dollars), according to the study. Such payments amounted to only 0.13% of healthcare costs in 2010, which is the lowest percentage in the NPDB's history.
Avatar f tn I think that there needs to be a discussion about patients not recieving fair medical treatment because they are involved in litigation brought about by personal injury. Not all personal injury patients are involved in litigation because they are looking for some easy monetary gain. Some of us have suffered many losses,( JOBS, HOMES, CARS, GOOD CREDIT RATINGS, RELATIONSHIP OR FAMILY ISSUES, DEPRESSION, LOSS OF CONSORTIUM) due to injuries that has kept us from being able to return to work.
Avatar n tn J cannot or will not supply information as to where their products are supplied. I called them first and have called all the pharmacies you list plus with negative results - that is why I posted the question.
Avatar n tn But this time I am going to ask the GP to try for Gout immediately (VIOXX and/or Allopurinol for Uric Acid/Gout). I notice it seems to reoccur every 5 years. Advice appreciated?
Avatar f tn Is anyone considering tubal ligation or IUD? This is my second high risk pregnancy and I'm sensitive to hormones, so I'm considering a non hormonal IUD or tubal litigation after delivery.
Avatar n tn This is horrible; I have little patience with healthcare professionals who fall into the categories of the 2 you have dealth with. If you go to the website I recommended and pick out a few urogyns who are close to you, I'll do some digging to see if any of them seem like they are decent. I don't understand how doctors can go into medical practice when they have no bedside manner-it comes with the territory.
Avatar n tn Symptons are always have been cold, tired, joint and muscle pain worse in fingers, I took Vioxx before it was removed , high blood pressure , tinnitus, completely deaf over 2,500 cycles in both ears. Hearing aids made no difference. Dentist last month couldn't freeze my gums with 2 needles of Carbocaine. 7mm nodule on thyroid. Blood tests TSH 2.15 ( range .465 to 4.68 ) FT4 11.17 ( range 10 to 28.2 ) Total T3 2.02 ( range .92 to 2.
163305 tn?1333668571 California litigation attorney is suspicious that aerosol geoegineering and covert weather manipulation is responsible for California’s record drought. Ellen Brown: “What makes me suspicious is this wall of weather that prevents the jet stream from pushing storms that usually come from the Pacific Ocean across California, Oregon and Washington State. So, that’s been going on for 4 years, and nobody knows what causes it.
1549945 tn?1294006901 I am afraid there are not any at home ways to solve this problem. Tubal litigation is a serious decision and hopefully that was explained by the dr performing the surgery. The only solution for women in this situation is another surgery, which as mentioned is expensive. Not only is a reversal or IVF expensive, it's not gaurnteed to work. I see so many women posting this same question all the time.
Avatar n tn I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE). A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart. My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE. Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?
Avatar f tn There was no money exchanged or special consideration given to get Vioxx on the market. However, Vioxx is a good example of a study not digging deep enough into long term effects of a new drug. Vioxx was introduced in 1999 and was originally thought of as a treatment for polyps in the intestinal track.
Avatar f tn I am in same boat.
Avatar n tn t release any information to you without a medical proxy. In any event in any accident involving potential litigation, it is prudent to obtain all copies of the ER reports as soon as possible. My horror story involves a time when I was minding my own business and brutally assaulted without provocation by several individuals. One wrapped his arms around me while the other worked me over. Cutting to the chase it turns out they were bodyguards for a Greek Billionaire.
Avatar f tn Thanks..
Avatar m tn Approximately 10% of veins that are used in cardiac bypass fail the first year, and 10% fail every year from time of the surgery. No one knows why they fail, but they do. I doubt your doctor is afraid of litigation as vessel failure is a documented fact. He/she is trying drug therapy to develop what are called collateral arteries, which are tiny vessels that can and do enlarge to take the place of the occluded artery in many if not most cases.
Avatar n tn [2] A series of small-scale studies completed in Germany found that H. procumbens was indistinguishable from Vioxx in the treatment of chronic low back pain,[3] and was well-tolerated after more than four years of treatment of H. procumbens alone.[4] H. procumbens also seems efficacious in the treatment of arthritis-caused hip and knee pain.
