I have had three surgeries on my left eye (SLT, filtration, and then lazer cutting of filtration sutures to keep pressures low.), by a well known glaucoma specialist. After each surgery, my vitreous became 'looser' and more floaters erupted. Before each surgery, I asked the surgeon if the procedures would cause vitreous excitation, and each time he said no. As independent studies started to show a correlation between Vioxx and an increase risk of heart attack and stroke, the NIH funded the VIGOR study I believe in 2001 at the request of the Arthritis Advisory Committee to determine if there was indeed a link. What they discovered was that all NSAIDS increased the risk for heart attack and stroke with Vioxx being the worst.

But this time I am going to ask the GP to try for Gout immediately (VIOXX and/or Allopurinol for Uric Acid/Gout). I notice it seems to reoccur every 5 years. Advice appreciated?

This was about 1961 and concussions were not a big deal as today. I really notice that everyone I know can recall words to songs and names of actors or athletes yet I am very, very limited as to what I can remember. It is embarrassing at times that I can't remember a simple name yet when someone says the name, I can recall the person.

I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE). A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart. My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE. Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?

scared because i had a mamagram last thursday and just found a message on my machine that i need call dr they want to talk to me about it. i had a bioposy 15 years ago and she didnt put a sticker on it like they normally do, could that have shown up and it be nothing ?

Slings are great if used right!!! The sling that was recalled studies were done on it years ago back in 2007 and the company knew that it had a suffocation risk. The babies head shoudl always be out of the sling and the baby should never be curled in a C position laying nor upright! That is the problems not the slings.

I am now at my wits end as I have just recd a call back for a 2 hour appt at the hospital in relation to a specfiic area of the breast and need either ultrasound or maybe aspiration and a opportunity to talk to the consultant radiologist and breast care nurse(according to the letter).

I then went to see the doctor to get the results of my tests and he said he could see nothing suspicious on my results and discharged me, but today i got a letter from the hospital for a repeat Mammogram, why could this be? when the doctor told me everything was ok. Im very very worried now.

I heard on the news that alot of the calls from toyota owners had nothing to do with the cars on the recall list. I have one and that does not make me feel warm and fuzzy! I would like suggesting having a recall sticky thread in the pregnancy and maternal & child forums. One of the forum regulars in Pregnancy 18-35 posted a recall about a crib, I would have never heard about the recall if it wasn't for her. Not every parent has a source of information to get recalled items, and I think it would help a lot of new parents or parents in general if we could have a sticky thread for rcalled infant and children products.
