Avatar n tn An allergy like Contact dermatitis can also produce vesicular lesions at the point of contact. Contact dermatitis is caused by exposure to a material to which the person has become hypersensitive or allergic. The skin inflammation varies from mild irritation and redness to open sores, depending on the type of irritant, the body part affected, and the sensitivity of the individual. Treatment is to avoid the allergen, if it can be identified.

Avatar m tn t think much of this, but 12 days after this happened I developed painful oral herpes (vesicular lesions on base of gums) at about a half-dozen sites, ie, quite extensive. Not sure if I've had this before, had one lesion (canker? herpes?) about a year ago. Didn't feel feverish (although could have been -- the oral lesions really, really hurt and were inflamed) or other consitutional symptoms really. No sore throat. No muscle pains.
Avatar n tn For more than 20 years, been getting these warts or lesions that come and go in my mouth. Started after an oral encounter ~ 1995. No sexual intercourse, but kissing that likely transmitted something to me since soon after, developed a flesh colored lump with a white top on the underside of my tongue. This lump wasn't too large, but definitely noticeable. I kept rubbing it against my bottom teeth and it eventually broke open and bleed a bit, but eventually went away.
Avatar m tn Subsequently, I have had two severe outbreaks with sores all in my mouth, tongue, cheeks, and a few lesions in the genital area (first time for this ever). Severe enough that I could not eat for 3 days. Doctor suggested upping dose for valtrex from 1 g to 3 g for 7 days. I had blood panels done the only noticeable thing was a pretty low Vitamin D level (17) and high triglycerides (210). My question is: is this common?
Avatar n tn From what you describe these seem to be vesicular or bullous lesions - which could be due to herpes simplex, herpes zoster, impetigo or pemphigoid. Are these present at specific sites or all over your face? You should reconsult with your dermatologist to find out the definite diagnosis , so that further management can be planned accordingly. Take a second opinion if you are not convinced. Post us about what the doctor tells you and if you have any otehr doubts. Regards.
Avatar f tn There is also possibility of Chigger bites which can also cause vesicular lesions which are painless initially but later they can manifest as cutaneous reactions and are associated with itching. You need to give history of any outdoor activity and tape stripping followed by visualization with microscopy will help to establish the diagnosis. Vigorous cleansing with soap and water should be done. Clothing should be washed in hot water or treated with pyrethroid insecticides to kill mites.
Avatar n tn Hi, there is possibility of Chigger bites or contact dermatitis, which can also cause vesicular lesions which are painless initially but later they can manifest as cutaneous reactions include raised lesions, hives etc. and are associated with swelling and itching. Most often, the legs and trunk line are affected (as toe is affected in your case). If chigger bites is confirmed, Vigorous cleansing with soap and water should be done.
Avatar m tn I am so sorry about your dog. Cancer behaves in animals the same way it does in humans, and the treatment is basically the same. Side-effects depend entirely on what drugs will be used for treatment. Some forms of chemo are done orally with pills and others are infused with an IV. Some chemo combinations won't have too many terrible side effects and others are horrible. Any decision to treat a terminal illness in a dog requires us to evaluate quality of life vs. quantiy of life.

Avatar n tn I wanted to get some other opinions before I get stiches in my tongue and not be able to eat solid foods for a week. I noticed another post where the poster had the same exact symptoms, but there was no suggestions as to what it could be. The previous post was over a year ago at http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Skin-Cancer/Three-White-Lesions-on-Side-of-my-Tongue-Picture/show/1027162#post_4774554 . Can anyone help?
Avatar m tn however, my tongue is the only place that has never fully healed. I constantly have 3-6 lesions in my mouth...big enough to the point where it would show if I were to stick out my tongue...I've been meaning to ask the doc if there's anything I should do, but figured I try on here first So are there any specific ways of keeping lesions away? I've heard Advanced Listerine with Tartar Protection helps... Are there like any vitamins I should be taking, or anything like that?
Avatar m tn I will hold my tongue on this. Do you see any part of the puppy in the vaginal area when she pushes? Any discharge, like a green color? The puppy could be too large, be breech, turned, two pups at the bottom of the horns at the same time....... Christmas or not, I woukd probabky be contacting your Vet or the ER clinic. Why are you breeding this dog? You should be more educated then you seem to be. Good luck. Hope all turns out well for your dog. Please come back and update.
Avatar f tn Hi there I have this vesicular rash all over my abdomen and I have no idea what it is. It's slightly itchy but not anything major. Please could somebody help.
Avatar n tn Ask your urologist what the Bosniak classification of the cyst is (check out the URL at the bottom of my post). Depending on what the classification is, he may decide to leave it alone. I read that something like 75% of humans have renal cysts and never even realize it (as their particular lesions don't cause pain/discomfort, aren't calcified, don't pose any significant threat/issue). I had 4 large cysts on my left kidney (3-4cm's) along with about 100 smaller ones.
Avatar m tn The man had two bumps on either side of his crotch, however the did not look like herpes to me or like the rash I developed on my hand. I did use my own spit to lubricate, however I have never had a cold sore or lesions in the genital area that looked like what developed on my hand. I washed my hands afterwards. I went to the Doctor within 48 hours of the rash developing. She was certain that the rash looked like herpes, and took a PCR skin test of the fluid in the blisters to be sure.
Avatar n tn t had any visible sores/lesions, but I have had some itching and one place in particular that feels like a mild ant bite near the base of the penis (although there's no visible indication). What's concerned me is that I was diagnosed with ocular keratitis, which I've read can be caused by a viral infection such as herpes. Two questions in particular: (1) What are the odds of having acquired herpes if there are no visible sores?

Avatar m tn I do not get vesicular lesions. I am terribly worried that I may have transmitted this to my infant son soon after birth. He was born via c section. At the time of suspected transmission, he was still partially healing from a circumcision (7 days out). I used the bathroom, then I took the dog outside for a moment. I heard him crying and in the hustle to get to him, I can't recall if I washed my hands after I used the bathroom.
Avatar n tn http://www.brooksidepress.org/Products/OperationalMedicine/DATA/operationalmed/SickCall/TongueLesions.htm Please see a dentist at the earliest and he will guide you accordingly. There is no need to be scared of doctors. I empathize with you. There are many who are scared to go to doctors. Always remember—a problem diagnosed in time saves a lot of trouble. Avatar m tn I visited the first of four doctors 4 days later, he indicated in his report he thought it was herpes (but not classical herpes) and that there were vesicular lesions. He prescribed a week of Valtrex (2 50mg pills 3 times daily). The pain had disappeared by the time I took the first pill and in my opinion Valtrex did absolutely nothing. I was tested for syphilis, gonorrhea and swabbed for herpes; all negative.
Avatar n tn t get any better. It covers her entire body from neck to ankles, in particular her hands. Small red bumps that itch, occasional small blister type bumps as well. She will also get a large blister in the center of her palm. I also have the small red bumps and occasional small blisters. I think it's some type of allergic reaction, or maybe even an offshoot of the eczema I already suffer from? Any suggestions??
Avatar m tn It grew and spread to the other side of the tongue. It is always painless, unless picked at. The lesions present as flattened white wrinkly patches, that can be rubber off with a paper towel exposing a red base underneath, that sometimes bleeds. I am quite certain it is not thrush, as my mother is a pediatric nurse practitioner and assures me it couldn't be this. I have not been on any antibiotics for years and don't have a problem with being sick in general.
Avatar f tn In 2008 MRI scan(I assume) same lesion increased in size to 11x6mm.Any lesions detected in the area of pineal and pituitary glands.Thanks.
