I got worried so I looked up sudden sweats on the internet and found it could be a sign of a heart attack. THis scared me very much and so I got a little panicky and got more flushed and got the feeling I recognize when people have told me I look pale.
The sweats lasted about 5 minutes and the panicky feeling came and went for hours. The episode and the feat associated with it are combined enough so I can't completely tell them apart.
most folks who do, experience it initially when diagnosed and go on valtrex and are incredibly stressed. for most , it does come back. I do know of less than a handful of folks who experienced hair loss while on valtrex, they could find no other cause for it and even after stopping the valtrex the hair loss did not stop.
at this point continue to follow up on this with the dermatologist. they are your best bet.

After I posted this I talked to the hospital doc about my negativ test result. She didnt think Valtrex had interferred with the results. I have had "herpes symptoms" four months, taking Valtrex last four weeks.
Maybe I could have a new test taken in a couple of weeks when my system is clear of Valtrex? Just to be on the safe side?
Just no it is all too confusing. One doc says: HERPES! The other says: no this is not herpes.
Thanks for the reply. Well if valtrex doesnt affect the results,wouldnt 55days be enough for conclusion? As doctors say 6weeks is quite enough for antihiv tests except cemotherapy patients?
Finally I broke down and in seeking relief on four ocassions and took 2000 mgs of Valtrex and awoke syptom free only to have the symptoms return the following evening. It seemed to help for a short period. Since I had nearly nine months straight without suppressive therapy would it be OK to take the WB now? It has been 26 months since the initial episode. In total I have had at least 11 months without suppressive therapy which includes the first nine months of possible infection.
If I stop it for a week do I wait to see if symptoms persist? If not begin again, or ask my doctor for an alternative? If so what should I be asking for and are they as effective as Valtrex?

Six months ago I contracted HSV2 and now have groin and neck pain but also numbness in my left leg. The in pain in my neck is debilitating and never goes away but does change in its degree. Sometimes I can't turn my head at all or touch my shoulders. Do you have any recommendations. Started taking a B-vitamin complex about a week ago. Hoping that will help because IB profin, tylenol nor aspirin helps. Should I see a neurologist or an infectious disease doctor?
I have been taking Valtrex regularly for 2 months and I have been taking 1 gram of Valtrex steadily for 2 weeks, and it is not going away. I was so scared that I went and bout an Oraquick test I tested negative, two days later I still couldn't get it out of my mind and went and got two more tests while on Valtrex and all three said Negative. Still have this headache and upset to my stomach and week. Still have some chest pain and I am now a little concerned over the whole thing. Told my dr how I felt and she wanted to do blood work but decided to put me on another medicine. Effient (prasugrel). Has anyone ever had their cat on low dose aspirin for a long time? Our twelve year old cat was diagnosed with as heart condition, along with other things. The vet says she'll have to be on heart meds and high blood pressure meds for good, and is considering aspirin, also. He's hesitant because the aspirin can cause other problems. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with a problem like this.
