471161 tn?1317190950 That is a question I intend to ask my doctor on the 27th. I have also been told to stay out of the sun by the first doctor I was going to. I do not go out in sun to tan or anything like that & I do wear spf protection, but I was told to totally avoid the sun, that I could only be in shade so it is my intention to find out from the doctor I am now seeing if I do have to avoid the sunlight as that is quite hard to do.
215220 tn?1191456864 Hey all. How is everyone today? I have an unusual question. When I'm out in the sun too long my left arm gets tingles that feel like goosebumps without the bumps. It travels around my left side mainly, back, head, leg. I was wondering if anyone else gets this feeling when hot. Seems to be only on my left side. If it was my body trying to cool off wouldn't it be all over?
Avatar f tn 2 in the UK and about to try once more in Valencia/Spain (for the last time I think/hope). Today at our initial consultation the clinic in Valencia said that the reason the embryos did not implant before could be because of poor egg quality in the first place. I was surprised at this since in the past I was told the embryos were of very good quality every time. Of course they were never checked for PGD (Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis) and I never even heard of this test until today.
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
Avatar f tn As far as a relapse goes, if you took your pills due to a legitimate medical reason, and you did not abuse them, and took them only as long as necessary, then no, it is not a relapse. When I had my broken leg surgery, I did not feel like I had relapsed. But, I did start counting my clean time after I stopped taking pain pills. It's really kind of an individual thing, and everyone has their own feelings about it. You are doing great. Keep moving forward! I wish you all the best.
Avatar n tn It seems to go a way a little bit when she is out of the sun. We were driving and the part on here leg that is getting sun from the window made here leg break out in that rash. it doesn't seem to be raised, but it is all over in the areas that get exposed. Does anyone know what this may be?
Avatar m tn It happens, but I wouldn't say its normal, none of mine have broken off Thank God. Are you having a lot of pain?
Avatar n tn I tried to explain to him that everyone sees sun spots and colors when we look at the sun for even a little while. We have tinted windows on our vehicle. Anyway ever since that incident he does not want to go outside because he says if he looks at the sun he will see colors and he gets really scared. I tell him not to look at the sun if it scares him. This happened around 3 weeks ago. How long will it take him to get over this? He seems to start worrying about other stuff too.
Avatar f tn I called the doctor, she said this is the first time she heard something like this (we live in the beach so I would imagine this would be something comun), the only explanation she had is the the leg muscles could be dehydrated, but it doesnt hurt in my muscle, it hurts in my shin bone like its going to crack, but Im having a lot of Gatorade and water just in case. Im from Mexico and I couldnt find any forum with this problem. Did someone could find out what is this about and a solution?
Avatar n tn I've never broken out in a rash or hives from a sunburn which is the main symptoms of solar/cholinergic urticaria.
Avatar f tn I would recommend that you read the Herpes Handbook and watch the patient counseling video on our website, westoverheights.com to get started on information gathering.
1196614 tn?1265075773 I asked the doctor why my fibula looked like is still broken on the x-ray. The response was that the fibula was already healing and there was no reason to attach pins or screws to it and also they said that fibula bone does not support the body weight at all. I just wanted to have an opinion to make sure that I will not have problems in the future with my leg because of the fibula bone is now on that position.
Avatar f tn t walk on my leg. I had multiple lab tests looking for the reason. All were good until finally they tested my Vit D level and found it to be extremely low. At the same time my son said he experienced similar craps when he worked in the sun. He said his was from drinking too little fluid. I explained mine were much worse and I didn't work in the sun. But I was desperate so I began drinking a bottle of a gatorade type product a day and took the ordered Vit D.
Avatar m tn She jumped off of a chair and broke her front leg. The vet said the cast would be enough and the surgery is not required. However the x-ray shows that the bones are not aligned perfectly. I understand that he is a professional but I have already had experience with some incompetent vets and cannot rule out this one to be another example. I will probably get an advise from another vet but also want to hear your opinions. Has anyone had the same kind of problem? Here are the x-ray shots.
Avatar f tn Shower right after being in the sun. Take extra calcium if in the sun and throughout the day and before bed. Cut back on phosphates. If you have oily skin you are acidic, take extra magnesium & calcium and oily skin will go away in hours. I judge my acidity & mineral needs by how oily my skin is.
1542537 tn?1293207098 Hi, broken bones take a varying amount of time to heal, mostly depending upon the type of bone broken, the age of the person, and the way in which the bone is broken. Larger broken bones, for example the bones in the thigh, or both bones of leg would take a great deal longer to heal, usually six weeks to three months in the average healthy adult. Begin physical therapy as soon as is practical. That will help.
1140169 tn?1370185076 The respiratory group checked her out this morning and felt her breathing was much improved and approved her for surgery today. We were feeling pretty positive. Then in mid afternoon the word came up from the OR that they would not be able to operate on her today, but maybe on Saterday. I think I'm more upset about another dealy than my wife is, and my muttering and ranting was not helping or making it any easier for my wife, so I took a deep breath and shook it off.
Avatar f tn Sometimes if happens that the moist beds are heavens for mites, also if you have fur or woolen blankets, that also could cause itching. The best way is to expose the bed to sunlight, but as you seems to be from UK, the bright sun may be rarely observed, therefore go for good pest control. Secondly, some time it may be just your Psycho, my Son who is 12 year old, when he wakes up in bed, just keep on scratching his sholder, arms, and armpits, even though afterwards he never scratches.
Avatar f tn The doctor she saw said it could be a very strange case of the chicken pox but neither of us are so sure as they didnt spread to anyone or anywhere else on her body. She was exposed to the sun with sunscreen and pants on the day before and has not been exposed to any chemicals or new lotions or anything as far as we know. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?
