A/P - it's amazing what you will find when you google infertility. I've been at this for a while and just now found out about the Geritol thing. Thanks - as soon as I win the lottery, I'll follow my hearts desire :) Until then I'm just a numbers cruncher and fact finder.

30-8pm prior to not drinking fluids for 3-4 hrs. if you hav 30 day cycle, u can start from CD 12-20. also for CM- i tried it on one month just to see if its work or not, its drinking ruby red grapfruit juice. regular grapfruit juice will work too, but ruby is sweeter. however, drinlk every 2-4 hrs then u will see very good amount of CM on the same day.

The robitussin is for a chesty cough and contains only GUAIFENESIN.I bought it from boots the chemist and it was in a red box.But i know there are other cough medicines that have Guaifenesin out there and are considerably cheaper,but i decided to stick with robitussin.If i need more i will try the cheaper option next time maybe(hoping there wont be a next time though).

i guess it works different for everyone, it does not help you get more cm, all it does is thin out the cm you already produce. I used it last cycle but i didnt notice my cm to be any thinner.

Does anyone use decongestants (Guiefenesin found in cough syrup & cold meds) to help CM to be a good consistency? I heard it helps the sperm get through more easily. A friend of mine was TTC for five years and her husband had low motility. She started taking cough syrup and within 6-12 months, got pregnant and miscarried a few weeks in (in Nov.) & now is 5 weeks pregnant again and everything is looking good. I have been TTC for two years and am wondering if I should try it. Is it safe?

I take 500mg am and 500mg pm i got the capsule form as i heard the powder tastes nasty LOLz, I got mine off ebay was only about £6 inc delivery for 60 im taking mine for the whole month but some ladies just take it up to ovulation. If you want the link PM me and ill send it to you.

its more like an egg white if ovulation is near... any ways i've read that robitussin (guaifenesin), you should buy the plain one with no letters after it... robitussin can help loosen up cervical mucus... hope it helps....

Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.

yes, well sort of. It's Guaifenesin an ingredient found in cough meds. You can usually find a store brand of robitussin that has only Guaifenesin in it. The ingredient is made to break up mucus, but if taken while you ovulate it can make your CM more compatible with sperm.

If you were my patient, I would begin a work up for infertility regardless of your age. One of the first things I would do is a semen analysis (sperm count), as your partner's weight definitely could be a factor. Additionally, I would recommend that you begin using ovulation predictors to see if you are ovulating regularly. Believe it or not, Clomid can help improve fertility for both men and women.

I am using Duoneb with nebulizer 5 or 6 times a day. Also I just started Spiriva one time a day. I have started having a very tight feeling in my chest. I feel it is beause the two meds are contraindicated. If this is true, how may I wean from the Duoneb? My family physician has diagnosed me as having COPD. Thank you.

I track my cycle on my own just by counting days and estimating when ill be ovulating.

Hi there, Did your husbad have a normal sperm count 3 years ago (eg 14 million/ml or more)? or was it very low? It is unusual for a sperm count to drop very rapidly and stay azoospermic (no sperm present in semen) although if your husband has struggled to have much sperm present to start with he may go into 'spermatogenic failure' and not produce any in the testes. The fertility doctor will need to see if your husband is making any sperm in his testes. This is done via the TESE.
