Uroxatral negative effects

Common Questions and Answers about Uroxatral negative effects

uroxatral

Avatar n tn I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?
Avatar m tn I have had an ultrasound of the prostate which checked out fine and have been tested for chlamydia and gonorhea, which both came back negative. I am currently taking uroxatral and avodart daily, and am curious as to why I am still having symptoms. Is it possible of being overmedicated? Or is there something that has been missed? If so what other possibilities are there?
Avatar f tn There is another class of medications, such as Uroxatral, which can help shrink your prostate and improve your symptoms. the results of this class of medications, however, often take many weeks before they make a major differences. Ultimately, flomax and drugs like uroxatral can be combined to give maximal medical therapy for BPH. Sometimes men continue to have problems and may be candidates for surgical intervention to improve symptoms.
Avatar m tn I was exposed to an STD 6 months ago and developed urethritis/epididymitis at first and then developed prostatitis. All std tests and urinalysis have come back negative and I've tried the following antibiotics/therapy: May 2011 GP - all std tests came back negative and urine was "clear" of bacteria. No abnormal WBC or RBC's. Diagnosed with epididymitis and urethritis – clear discharge and testicular pain (unilateral pain on left testicle).
Avatar m tn I’ve been on Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic), followed by Sulfamethoxyzole (antibiotic) plus Naproxen (anti-inflammatory). Currently I’m on Uroxatral, to help relax my bladder muscles to ease emptying, and further aid my prostate healing. These medications may be helping, but to be thorough I also had ultrasounds of my bladder and testes and doppler (vascular study) of my penis.
Avatar n tn t know that the med had side effects related to prostate. It became hard to urinate any more than small quantities at a time. I began retaining fluids, something that was determined after I returned home to US. I was catheterized and have had the catheter ever since, except while being tested in various ways. CT scan did not reveal stones. Cystoscopy revealed thick walls to bladder and, as the doctor put it, a bladder that appears much older than my 58 years, i.e., diverticula.

Avatar n tn ve had repeated tests for hiv, syphillus, chlamydia, and gonorrhea, as well as a swab test for HSV 1 and 2, and HPV. All of these tests have been negative for any diseases. Despite my multiple negative tests, my docs have administered a variety of antibiotic regimens, including amoxicillin, erythromycin, ciprofloxacin and metronidazole and months of doxycylcine. The only thing that seems to help is ibuprofen.
Avatar m tn I had clear discharge, testicular pain and urethra pain but tested negative for all the regular STDs. I went to my GP and she diagnosed me with epididymitis (clean urine culture) and gave me a 250mg shot of rocephin and doxy 100mg 2x day for 2 weeks. These both helped but did not completely cure the issues so she gave me another week but this did not resolve the issues either.
Avatar n tn I can't use Flomax or other alpha blockers due to side effects -- disturbed sleep. Uroxatral even caused me to sleepwalk 15 feet from a nap on the sofa one evening, waking when I fell flat on my face in the next room! Separately, due to a Vitamin D deficiency my doc found, he put me on 50,000 units Vitamin D per week for 8 weeks, followed by biweekly doses. And guess what...the Vitamin D almost instantly "cured" the BPH.
Avatar m tn I've had this problem for about nine months now. I was tested by my previous physician for an infection and various STD's all of which came back negative. I am not on any medications other than Men's Health One A Day vitamins and some over the counter cold medication. I am trying to eliminate caffeine from my diet but even that hasn't changed anything. I need to find a new physician before I can be referred to a urologist.
Avatar m tn what are psychological effects on children if they watch parrents doing sex or any other sex scenes
Avatar n tn I'm rh negative but I am O+. Universal donor so I don't have to worry about it.
Avatar n tn I am still seeing a doc and will keep you up to date.
Avatar f tn 29 weeks along FTM Tomorrow I go in to receive my first dosage of the RH antibody shot, since I'm O- and that makes me RH-negative . I am not afraid of needles, but I am afraid of side affects. Has anyone had this shot before any thing I should be aware out worried about.
977011 tn?1248226983 you have up to 72 hours AFTER bleeding to get the rhogam shot and have it be effective in counteracting any negative effects blood mixing could have on you or your baby. and there have been side effects on babys born to mothers who have had the shot while preg. if you google it you'll find dozens of forums on the subject. do what you feel is best for you. no one knows whats good for you or your baby but yourself.
Avatar m tn I have had a severe case of negative dysphotopsia in my left eye after cataract implant seven years ago. I just had a multifocal 'piggyback' oil implanted into that eye as that is considered the most successful solution to this problem. The surgery was a week ago and there has been absolutely no positive effects yet. The black shadow is as prominent as ever. My ophthalmologist says it may take some time.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have a negative rh with a positive rh husband (blood type: like a A- mom with A+ husband or O- mom with O+ husband, etc...) and worried you might have to get rhogam injections? My next appt is in two weeks so I can't ask until then, but I'm a little worried bc I've been looking up the injection and it seems like its made from human plasma. This just concerns me. I don't like shots/medications bc my body always reacts poorly.
Avatar f tn I know my midwife told me I was lucky I didn't have to get it because "it's a doozy." makes it seem like some side effects might happen, but I would call your doc about it.
Avatar m tn 2 for 3 months in a row and all came back negative.
