Hi Doc, I cleared the hep c virus 10 years ago, by 6 months of Peg-interferon and Ribivirin (I had 3A genotype). Now I am experiencing Protein in my urine (500+) and a little swelling in my ankles and cold toes (when ac is on). I am seeing a Nephrologist and a Hematologist who ran a number of blood and urine tests. Tests showed a "Faint Mono IgG, everything else is normal - Kidney tests etc. Question could the Cryoglobin test be positive although they said it is Negative.

For the last 2 weeks I have low temperature in the morning about 34.50, this goes back to normal at the end of the day. I also have a urine infection and am taking antibiotics.

Hi, For alsmost 3 weeks my girlfriend has higher body temperature (from 37,1 to 37,5 celsius) not all the time during the day but maybe 7-8 hours a day. The problem about testing first thing in the morning is not that it is more concentrated, but that the LH is usually synthesized in your body in the early morning hours and therefore might not show up in your urine until a little later. In other words, first morning urine may show negative even though you are in fact having an LH rise. So, since you still got a line that was as dark as the test line with first morning urine, I would definitely consider that a positive.

If it's a LOT of blood I'd be concerned (a lot as in the urine looks like blood and not at all like urine). Jimgreg is right, if it's pinkish urine it's probably from a stone passing. I've had stones go where I had no pain but blood present, used a strainer and I definitley had stones, they were just so small they didn't hurt. On the flip side of that, it might not be a stone at all, there could be an infection that's causing the urinary tract to bleed.

I took her to a 2 clinics up till now and have been running series of tests to diagnose the underlying cause, but all of her tests up till now have come back negative, only one blood test which the white blood cells test had an indication of a high white blood cells but not high. Do you have additional symptoms such as burning upon urination, difficultly starting your stream or an interrupted stream? Do you have a slight discharge after urination? Do you have pain in your pelvic region? Do you have an elevated temperature? I'm sorry I don't know your history. A frequent cause of cloudy urine is a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).

A more targeted approach might be with urine ovulation predictor kits; you can by these over the counter at the pharmacy. Just by the urine test sticks; the fancy computer that costs $$$ is not necessary. The reason this is better is that you are at peak fertility the day of and the day after your urine first turns positive.

Do you normally track your temps? Is this high and for you and has it continued to be high? How long is you cycle normally? Best to wait and see if your period comes, if not then take a test with first morning urine. You can test early, but it's most accurate to wait till the day or after your period is due.

Next time this happens, I would definitely do an actual temperature reading with a good thermometer - in fact, keep track of your temperature at different times during the day for a few days and that way when you do go to the doctor, you can show them what you've documented - it will make it easier for them to figure out what's causing the temperature fluctuations.
