I mentioned my report details for STD,
He told ,VDRL, HIV as Non reactive, and
urine and culture test:-
GRAM STAIN : 1-3 Pus cells and Occasional epithelial cells were seen
CULTURE : No significant growth in culture.
stated that she would do a culture test on urine that would take 2 days. She also advised me to go for STD test at the 14 day mark (post unprotected sex) I explained my concern over the itching on the thigh in conjunction with the burning urination. She advised that it was not a symptom of herpes. I have done alot of research online that has stated the direct opposite. What could the issue be?
I am worried sick to the point where I can't even sleep.
I recently started showing symptoms of either a STD or a UTI so I went to the Dr. to get check out. Well the urine test came back positive for Chlamydia. I've been in a relationship for the past 2 years and have been having unprotected sex for a while with her. I have been completely faithful but when I confronted her she admitted to cheating on me but the STD was news to her because she had never experienced any symptoms. She went right away and got tested in the ER.
I had a Chlamydia and Gonorrhea urine test 11 days post possible exposure. The test was done by Nucleic Acid Amplification. My urine was also in my bladder for an hour and I only sampled the begining part of my stream per the test collecter. I was negative for both.
Is this an accurate test and would you consider it conclusive?
I never had any symtoms and feel fine but I want to be sure that these tests are accurate.
Have endured irritation in urethra (tip of penis) for three weeks, with no discharge or obvious trauma. Had difficulty urinating and irritation from friction with clothes...all day, especially when working out. Saw my GP two weeks ago and told him about symptoms; he asked if there was any reason it could be STD...I have not had any new partners and in monogamous relationship, so I hope it's not STD.
In November 2008, I asked my doc for STD screening and took blood for all stds including chlamydia and gonorrhea. The result were both negative saying C. TRACHOMATIS BY AMPLIFIED PROBE negative and GC BY AMPLIFIED PROBE negative. I did not make much of it at the time but now I have been reading out of curiosity and learned that both of these STDs can not be tested using blood. Can I trust those test results? I am really confused and baffled.
The girl that I slept with, I found out that she been sleeping with many people and then I started having some itchiness which made me worried. So, I decided to go for the test and make sure I have no STD infection, given the fact I am thinking to get married in a year or max two years time which I dont want to give my wife any STD or any partner I will be with.
I followed up with the doctor in regards of epithelial cells and he told me there is nothing I should worry about.
Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
Hey. I went to the doctor to test me for stds, which blood was withdraw and no urine asked for. she just tested me for TRACHOMATIS. I thought that's only tested with urine or a swab.
If you still want reassuring tests, in addition to this advice, I would recommend only a throat swab test for gonorrhea; a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia; and blood tests for syphilis and HIV. (Urine chlamydia testing actually isn't necessary, but it's done routinely whenever gonorrhea testing is done.) You can expect all these to be negative, and you certainly do not need any tests beyond these.
My husband an d i been together for over 14 years, recently he told me he has been unfaitful, i went to my doctor and got tested for any STD, my test result came back positive for chlamydia and hsv1, i got tested through Quest, my husband did his independely and went to Labcorp and his test came back positive for HSV1 and false positive for HSV2, but negative on Chlamydia...
I was worried so I took an STD test today at the urology clinic I usually go to. The rapid blood test for HIV, Syphilis, and Herpes turned up negative. I took a urine test however, and the doctor said that there is some inflammation. He said that it is "most likely" a minor STD but his English was not good so he could have miscommunicated (I'm currently living in Korea). He mentioned this after looking at my previous tests which did not show any inflammation whatsoever.
I had unprotected oral sex 4 weeks ago. The next day I had a burning when I urinated and my throat stated to get sore. The burning got better after 3 or 4 days but I still have a slight burn after I urinate and my throat is still sore. I got tested 24 days afterwards for Chlamydia/GC [ urine test ] and blood test for Hep A,B,C, HIV, Herpes 1 & 2. All came back negative except Herpes 1 and they say I may have gotten that when I was a child.
