Avatar f tn My son, at 8 months, was given the aformentioned med for treatment of excema. The warning my doctor gave was to ensure it doesn't get in his face.My husband and I deployed leaving my mother in law to care for our son. She mistakenly put the med on his face and the area around his mouth is now discolored. He's a brown skinned baby with a huge white patch around his mouth. She applied this med over a year ago and we have been told by other doc that the color would come back in a year.
Avatar m tn I had sex a few days ago with a coworker who claimed to be clean. But for three days I've had a mild menthol sensation comes and goes. I have sensitive skin and have had reactions to people's fluids before. But it's been a few days and I'd like someone to give a professional opinion. Basic skin care cream has had a lasting effect. The sensation is hardly on my penis at all, mainly just the crotch itself. The sensation started only a couple hours after sex.
Avatar m tn Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.

Avatar m tn Thus duration of action of Decadron® (dexamethasone) is somewhat longer than that of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide). Along with the lower Decadron® (dexamethasone) dosage at 4 mg vs 80 mg, this may account for the resurgence of your symptoms. You may want to ask your doctor if he can special-order the Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) or would he be willing to increase the dose of Decadron® (dexamethasone).
Avatar f tn One thing my hubs does when I get sick is put vicks liquid menthol stuff in a humidifier.. Breathing it in the room helps some to clear me out enough to breath. There may be some actual meds but ask your doc what's safe.
338416 tn?1420045702 I know this is an old thread, but I had to post. I really identify with jensequitur. I too have the cold menthol sensation and taste. I feel like I have rubbed menthol on my skin, especially my face, and everything I eat or drink tastes of menthol.
Avatar m tn After all tests came back negative, the sore throat and swollen submandibular lymph nodes have lasted for almost 1.5 years. After multiple doctors visits, I have been diagnosed with LPR. The ENT put me on Nexium ??mg twice per day. I have been taking the Nexium for about a month now. I have a couple of questions. Are swollen submandibular lymph nodes a common symptom of LPR? I have only seen in one place where someone says swollen lymph nodes are a symptom of LPR.
Avatar m tn The Gold Bond label states that you should “avoid contact with the eyes”. Please speak with the dermatologist who has been treating your psoriasis and let him/her know that you’ve had some luck with Gold Bond lotion. Perhaps your dermatologist will be able to recommend a product with similar ingredients that will not harm your eyes.
Avatar m tn Asymptomatic epidermoid cysts do not need to be treated. Intralesional injection with triamcinolone may hasten the resolution of inflammation. Oral antibiotics may occasionally be used. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.

Avatar m tn I have had four dental implants over a period of four years (one lower, three upper) and had not problems with any until recently. After placement of an upper pre molar implant last October I noticed a very strange taste in my mouth and strange sensation on my face and in my mouth. It was difficult to describe, but I went back to the dental surgeon who assured me that the implant had been placed properly and there was no infection which could cause a strange taste.

Avatar f tn I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
Avatar f tn Try to limit them. If you're taking the kind without menthol, you can eat as much as you want. But the menthol ones you have to limit yourself.
Avatar f tn Try using Neosporin or polysporin with your triamcinolone cream. Triamcinolone caused red marks on my face and a bit dryness and white patches appeared. I started mixing Neosporin and triamcinolone cream together and noticed the redness going away. Polysporin also helped me also. I discovered my skin is too sensitive to use triamcinolone cream by itself.
Avatar f tn She stated that it was Geographical tongue, but it has gotten larger since. She prescribed me Clotrimazole lozenges and Triamcinolone paste, which the paste is disgusting.
