A Dr could prescribe a more effective cream Nystatin and Triamcinolone Cream that could clear it up in day or two, or rule it out. I have redness and pain, though not balantitis. Do not overuse over counter or pres cream, heard can thin skin, so use caution do not use for many days.
i have been to dermotolgist and he said it was sensitive skin or allergic to uv rays. i have tried triamcinolone acetonide cream that the doctor prescribed and only helps alittle on itching. this has been going on for a year now. any suggestions?
From your diagnosis it appears as if the most logical diagnosis is a form of eczema called contact dermatitis, probably in response to the Triamcinolone part of the cream. I think that I am going to try applying Hydrocortisone and see where that gets me for the next few days.
Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed.

Over a year ago I had a bad groin itch which my dumb doctor gave me a topical cortico-steroid to apply directly to my testicles. I believe it was Triamcinolone Acetonide. Literally days later I developed a severe testicular pain and sexual dysfunction that is still present a year later. I stopped eating sugar, I use windex, the doctor gave me triamcinolone and cream and nothing worked, using mouthwash, vinegar and borax. They are a little better but still getting into my head and on my feet and the same on my husband. Also I cleans myself at night and feel free, however they are so bad in the house, when I move about in the house they get back on me. The doctor act like I a loosing my mind.
Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. I was given nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream for balanitis. It has been several weeks and it is still hanging around. It seems like it begins to go away, but never fully does. Iam a very clean person and this rash keeps showing up under my armpit and right below.. any suggestion. While i use the cream it will clear up then come back if i stop.. Iam so discourage from this.
