I tried sarna anti itch lotion and it seemed to get worse. I went to emergency and they said it was contact dermatitis and perscribed hydrocortizone cream that did not work and I went back. The rash was looking a bit different and they thought it was a fungal rash and perscribed atarax, clotrimazole cream usp, 1% and triamcinolone acetonide cream .01% I used that and put vasaline on top of it and it went away.
the riba rash is out of control. I have tried cerave-sarna and lubriderm and nothing seems to work any longer.I am at a complete loss here and going a little nuts.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Until you get your levels resolved, Sarna lotion works pretty good to control the itch, and it has no steroids in it.
Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.
What is the best home or store bought for sever itching,I tried sarna I take a prescription hydroxsin benadryl.
Another suggestion was Sarna Anti-Itch Lotion. These two suggestions worked for me. I used ice packs in the beginning, and then I started a cold water rinse on my lower legs with a hand held shower after my normal shower. After drying I applied the Sarna Creme. The itching has stopped. I'm not sure if is the cold water or the Sarna Cream, or a combination of the two. I use the cold water rinse after every shower now because I don't want to risk having the itcy legs return.
My entire body itches whenever I'm in any kind hot warm or hot enviorment. This past winter I also noticed that even though it was snowing outside (running, or playing hard) also makes me itch really bad. This burdens me because I'm not able to do fun things with friends and family such as shop, beach, and play sports... I NEED HELP...I recently called my dermatoligist and she recommended Sarna Menthol... So I'm going to be trying this out and hopefully it works......
) But how serious is an allergic reaction to triamcinolone? Or is it the combination of lidocaine and triamcinolone that caused the mess?
I was wearing my hair very short on top,and getting a sunburn when out in the sun. The top of my head itches,and I know it's itching because of the sun exposure. I have been applying Sarna to the top of my head even though my hair is a little longer on top now. What should I do if this itch on the top of my head continues to go on ?
Decadron® (dexamethasone) 4 mg is not the therapeutic equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg. Using the Lexi-Calc corticosteroid conversion formula, the ratio of the 2 would be close to 5:1. So it would take Decadron® (dexamethasone) 16 mg to be approximately the equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg.
I suggest that you wash with an antibacterial soap (like Dial), apply an over-the-counter antibiotic ream like bacitracin or neosporin ointment twice a day, use on over-the-counter anti-itch lotion like Sarna lotion as often as needed, never scratch (use Sarna every time you need to), and show whatever is left to the dermatologist when you go.

I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.
prescribed Fluocinonide cream usp 0.05 by TARO, I also have on hand Triamcinolone Acetonide cream usp 0.1. Are they interchangeable The rash is getting larger and itches as it grows.
Hi, i have a dry red area on the head of my penis. I'm not circumcised.
It has been like this for maybe 4mths and was probably caused by not using a condom.
In the past i treated it with Canestan cream and it stopped it drying out but was occasionally itchy.
It never quit so i saw a doctor who put me on some tablets (sorry don't have name) and i had to apply triamcinolone acetonide lotion twice a day after showering.
I am not a doctor, but it sounds like Grover's Disease. I was diagnosed very quickly when I showed this to my doctor and explained the itching. It is a very distinctive looking rash and it appeared only on my chest and slightly under my bra line. http://www.dermnetnz.org/scaly/grovers.html I found that Sarna lotion was extremely helpful in reducing the itching. I highly recommend it. Grover's Disease does last a few months or more.
I have had a rash to an extreme itchiness. I went out and bought the 'original Sarna' its a anti itch lotion found in the first aid department. It works wonders I can actually sleep. I would definitely make sure your doctor says its fine as to I dont wanna tell anyone something when their doc doesn't give the OK. But I read about it online an as long as you get the ORIGINAL you should be good. Hope this helps.
m going to try the ice packs in socks. Sounds good! I also use Sarna an anti-itch lotion that works sometimes or the gold bond rapid relief lotion works as well. My itching affects both of my upper arms, sometimes at the same time, but usually one day it's one then the other one. Also my hair has been falling out way too much lately. Is this a side effect, does anyone know?
