Hi, i have a dry red area on the head of my penis. I'm not circumcised.
It has been like this for maybe 4mths and was probably caused by not using a condom.
In the past i treated it with Canestan cream and it stopped it drying out but was occasionally itchy.
It never quit so i saw a doctor who put me on some tablets (sorry don't have name) and i had to apply triamcinolone acetonide lotion twice a day after showering.
The idea that immunosuppressive drugs can alter HIV tests is theoretical only, with few or no reports that it actually happened. The amount of triamcinolone in your oral medication would have no effect whatsoever. Your negative antibody test 3 months after the last possible exposure is definitive proof you didn't catch HIV.
To your specific questions:
1,3) Such treatment has no effect on either a stand-alone antibody test or the duo test.
Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin.
I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
I had a reoccurring fungal infection on the tip of my penis that I believe has been cured through oral fluconazole. Part of the treatment was Nystatin/Triamcinolone. For a time I also used Ciplopirox but it made the skin very waxy looking so I stopped that treatment. Now the underside of the Penis is pink in color and sex/rubbing in my underwear aggravates the condition, causing it to burn for a short period and get more red in color.
Sweat dermatitis usually responds to such treatment along with oral antihistamines (OTC ones). For fungal infection many treatment options are there like Clotrimazole 1%, Miconazole nitrate 2%, Tolnaftate 1% and Butenafine hydrochloride 1%. Many OTC products containing these salts are available, your pharmacist can help. Try a combination of two and apply until the itch disappears.
If the symptoms persist then get an examination done by a dermatologist and get eczema ruled out.
They will fade away and then new ones will appear.I went to a dermatologist four days ago and he prescribed triamcinolone acetonide cream.This has helped some but I continue to have new bumps to appear.Any ideas as to what might be going on?
so i called pharmacist and asked if nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream was ok to use and the pharmacist said yes.. so i used it for about three weeks and it still the same. what should i do?

Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.
It is small and on the left side. He prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone. I also have inflammed prostate treated with Cipro 500mg.
I had unprotected oral sex one month ago. I took 4 pills and a shot on two different occassions. All the std exams, all negative. The urologist says what I have is not sex related.
So where would I get a fungus? I can think of no other explanation then the sex.

I had 1 quick oral swap done at 5 weeks and it came back negative.
I had a Cortisone injection in my butt (triamcinolone acetonide - Kenalog) 80 MG 55 days before exposure. Dr. Hook mentioned that cortisone (systemic, which is what i had) can delay but it would have cleared the system.
i put anti-fungal cream on it it didnt go away so i went to the doctors office in town, she said it didnt look like an std and she gave me nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream a few days later it hadnt let up so i went to the health department to get checked. the doctor that looks at all the stds there said she didnt think it was and std.

i have been to dermotolgist and he said it was sensitive skin or allergic to uv rays. i have tried triamcinolone acetonide cream that the doctor prescribed and only helps alittle on itching. this has been going on for a year now. any suggestions?
I could easily forget about it since it didn’t bother me. Doctor told me I had anal fissure and prescribed me with Triamcinolone the first time and Hydrocortisone 2.5 and I’ve taken oral medication for 14 days as well the second time and now since applying the creams my buttcrack is all discolored and white. Redness had pretty much cleared but my buttcrack is all discolored and white like I said. Mind you I am dark so seeing this just makes me feel negative and stressed idk what to do!
Pemphigus foliaceus is an autoimmune disease typically treated with steroids to get it under control and then a less strident topical or oral medication to keep the development of new blisters in check and prevent existing ones from becoming infected. Atopica is intended for in dogs with atopic dermatitis, so I don't know how this would be helpful to your cat and could be harmful since I don't think there have been any studies does regarding it's safety for cats.
I am 68 and last year developed Lichen Simplex Cronicus on my buttocks. I used Triamcinolone,.5% and after a week it went away. This year it came back in May. The dermatologist gave me a shot and by early July it went away but in about 10 days came back. I was using Lidex, 2 times a day since and now today,the Doctor gave me a shot of Kenalog. I read where there is long term effects of both Lidex and kenalog. Is there some other choice? Is this condition food related by any chance?

There is a lot of rash area on my penis, especially near the top of my penis (joining of the base to the head) and is very red with a burnt look to it (clear fluid covering burn area). I have taken some pictures to show but I don't think i'm allowed to post there.
Woman gave me oral. One month later, Dr. did blood and urine check for std's and all were negative.
Should I check again for std's in the near future?

I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.
prescribed Fluocinonide cream usp 0.05 by TARO, I also have on hand Triamcinolone Acetonide cream usp 0.1. Are they interchangeable The rash is getting larger and itches as it grows.
Also, a few days (3 or 4) before the rash started, I had a very brief (3 seconds or so) unprotected oral sex exposure of which I was the recipient (I am male, received from female). I also slept in two different houses (a friend's and my sister's) a week after this exposure. The rash started on my face, mostly my forehead and cheeks and appeared as a slight sunburn. I had spent a day in the sun while finishing the Amoxicillin, so I didn't think much of it.
