Avatar n tn I tried using moisturizers to control this but they only helped a little. I went to my primary-care physician and she prescribed me steroid (triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%) cream and ointment (the cream was to be used once a day in the mornings, and the ointment was to be used once a day in the evenings). She instructed me to use the cream/ointment very sparingly, avoid getting or rubbing it into my eyes, and to only use for 14 days. After 14 days I am supposed to switch to an emollient.
Avatar n tn Last week a neurologist diagnosed me an ophthalmic migraine, he said that there is nothing I could do and that I should get used to. Avatar m tn Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.

412909 tn?1211069559 In a situation like yours the great number of these problems are forms of ocular or eye or ophthalmic migraine (often do not have headaches) these are often hormonally driven. Use the search, topics and archive features to look up the extended discussions of ophthalmic migraine. See an Eye MD for a baseline eye exam. Find one at www.aao.
Avatar m tn Decadron® (dexamethasone) 4 mg is not the therapeutic equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg. Using the Lexi-Calc corticosteroid conversion formula, the ratio of the 2 would be close to 5:1. So it would take Decadron® (dexamethasone) 16 mg to be approximately the equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg.
Avatar f tn However, your daughter may have experienced the temporary (20 minutes or so) of an ophthalmic migraine. The experience is called a scintillating actions. It may and often does occur without the headache. Migraine headaches usually occur insensitivity to light (photophobia.) They frequently run in family's and can occur early in life. If you do some research and discuss it with your doctor it may help. An ophthalmic migraine has very diagnostic characteristics. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I went back to the same ophthalmic surgeon here in Houston who performed my Lasik in January 2009 when I noticed rapidly decreasing vision in my right eye. The surgeon and his head Optometrist in his practice were pushing for me to have surgery the following week in my right eye and utilize a Acrysof ReSTOR IOL. They were also adamant that I also have the Acrysof ReSTOR IOL implanted into my left eye a week later following the right eye surgery.
Avatar f tn A month after cataract operation I got occlusion of ophthalmic artery with a loss of peripheral vision very close to central vision. No reason for this event was found. I am scared, because my vision on the eye is loosing contrast vision and I am not sure about the future. Only explanation of my ophthalmologist is the operation trauma and therefore the event will not happen again. Anyway I am scared of blindness, because my left eye was always worse than my right eye.
915277 tn?1252573113 While having a CT w/Infusion for swelling in my Parotid gland (salivary gland between ear & jaw on the face) an Ophthalmic Artery Aneurysm was found on the left side of my brain, it is 4mm. Went to a neurosurgeon for evaluation and he said that because of it's small size and the fact that it was not bubbling out (was smooth) we would not do surgery, but, would keep a close eye on it...CT angio's every six months.
Avatar f tn I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.
Avatar n tn prescribed Fluocinonide cream usp 0.05 by TARO, I also have on hand Triamcinolone Acetonide cream usp 0.1. Are they interchangeable The rash is getting larger and itches as it grows.
Avatar n tn Hi, i have a dry red area on the head of my penis. I'm not circumcised. It has been like this for maybe 4mths and was probably caused by not using a condom. In the past i treated it with Canestan cream and it stopped it drying out but was occasionally itchy. It never quit so i saw a doctor who put me on some tablets (sorry don't have name) and i had to apply triamcinolone acetonide lotion twice a day after showering.
Avatar m tn Hi all, for the past year i have been suffering from what i can only describe constant fuzzy light in my vision. I have had my eyes tested an they found nothing wrong at all. Avatar m tn Thanks Doctor for the info...very helpful. My doctor's website says she is "board-certified ophthalmic surgeon and a Fellow of the AmericanSociety of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" , "has a private practice in cosmetic and reconstructive Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery" Should I still have to look for an oculoplastic surgeon or move forward with this one? Thanks much.
Avatar n tn I have some itch, is Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1% a good cream for this? Are there any side effects to this cream?
Avatar f tn I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
Avatar m tn my doctor said u have dry eyes and suggest me ..eyemist gel (hydroxypropyl Methycellulose (hypromellose) ophthalmic gel 0.3%) and artificial tears and for curing redness doctor suggest me Lotepred eye drop(Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension--0.2%w/v sterile eye drop ) . and protect your eyes from direct Uv rays ..for which i have purchased a sun glasses. Avatar f tn Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin. I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
