Now for weeks I have been left with red testicles and penis plus the groin area and side of upper leg, no rash just red skin which is sensitive to touch and burns. The dermatologist prescribed me Ketoconazole, Triamcinolone and Terbinafine. Been using for a week and it is no better in fact it burns and itches more at night. Alone with this I was using some antifungal soap. Any ideas on what this might be? Is it Red Scrotum Syndrome caused from the hydrocortisone?

It is inadvisable for patients on ketoconazole to self-medicate with acid-blocking medications, antacids, or other over-the-counter (non-prescription) items without consulting a physician. Because stomach acid is necessary for absorption of HDK, use of antacids will limit HDK’s effectiveness.

hi, i have rashes under my armpit, i had it over for a year, i tried medicine cream called triamcinolone Acetonide. i been using it til now, but the rashes are still there, but the irritation was not as bad as before, . i stopped using deodorant, i had two rash spots then i used the medicine then those two went away, but new one occurs at someplace else, like on my lower arm, i want to know how to get rid of these rashes, and i wonder if this is a symptom of hepatitis b?
Probably any formulation that contains retinoic acid (i.e., Retin-A or other retinols) and hyaluronic acid will work. CeraVe is simply the first brand that I tried. It is presently my first choice.
5. Acne preparations that contain benzoyl peroxide (i.e., Oxy-10 or similar) or salicylic acid sometimes helps although they sting quite a bit. I think that they simply act as oil cleansing astringents and antibacterials - not sure.
A few observations:

The less toxic and more effective triazole compounds fluconazole and itraconazole have largely replaced ketoconazole for internal use. Ketoconazole is best absorbed at highly acidic levels, so antacids or other causes of decreased stomach acid levels will lower the drug's absorption when taken orally. Absorption can be increased by taking it with an acidic beverage, such as cola.

BUT, make sure you take in on an empty stomach, Use the powder form and mix it with orange, grape, apple or what type of juice you like. From there, a rash will form if I do scratch it. There is no drainage. my doctor prescribed triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% which was wonderful, however symptoms would return after 4 days of last use.
It seems as though sweating and showering contribute to the itching. I do not believe I am allergic to my soap / shampoo, or laundry detergent.
