I went to my gyno with severe irritation on my genitals, and burning urination. Initial diagnosis was a yeast infection as well as a bladder infection. She prescribed me diflucan, an antibiotic, and nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. I wasn't able to immediately pick up the medications, and didn't begin treatment for another 10 hours or so. The next day I was still in moderate pain with extremely painful urination. I continued with the antibiotic and triamcinolone cream.
Hello- I have not been tested for Hsv1 but assume I have it as I have had cold sores off and on since childhood. I'm 34 years old and have not had a cold sore in about 5 years until this week.
6 days ago I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex. 2 days after I got a cold sore just below my lower lip (previous sores had been on my upper lip). I went to the doctor and was prescribed Triamcinolone cream.
Three days later felt pain in lower abdomen and trouble urinating(no burning, slow flow) went to ER, they put me on cipro and the stuff that makes your pee yellow, during the course of cipro my glans looks red and cracked, tender at times, went to ER 4 days later with a feeling of numbness all over the body
Fast forward to now, diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction (not prostatitis) treated for the red glans with kenalog shot and triamcinolone acetonide .
My son, at 8 months, was given the aformentioned med for treatment of excema. The warning my doctor gave was to ensure it doesn't get in his face.My husband and I deployed leaving my mother in law to care for our son. She mistakenly put the med on his face and the area around his mouth is now discolored. He's a brown skinned baby with a huge white patch around his mouth. She applied this med over a year ago and we have been told by other doc that the color would come back in a year.
I have had cold sores since I was like 3 ;I met someone I deeply cared for and love..I am a lesbian by the way..I telling u this because of the questions I have.
So we got tested and everything came back negative for me except of course HSV1 and for her all was negative.

So I have oral herpes. But I ever get cold sores, and I'm talking to this girl I like, and the other day when we went on a date I noticed she had a cold sore on her bottom lips that have lasted for a little over a week. It doesn't bother me too much cause I know she has the same virus I have,but it kind of makes me nervous to kiss her, I'm wondering if I kiss her while she has a real cold sore on her lip, then will I start getting cold sores?
I have been suffering with cold sores for almost since I was a teenager I am 39 and still suffering with them I never brought this to my doctors attention, because I thought nothing can be done about it. I know the virus is living inside of me and everybody else who gets them, they hurt a lot yesterday morning when I woke up I already started with 3 of them on my upper lip. Do you break out with them when you are stressed? Yesterday my daughter had her 3rd hip surgery...
ve been seeing each other for about 2 months and long story short have now found out my gf does have the occasional cold sore OB. Needless to say, I'm a bit worried about what that means for me. I havent seen anything or felt anything. Shes not on antivirals and claims this has never been an issue I'm the past and that none of her partners have suffered from this either. Do I have any real reason to be worried. Internet has me a bit confused.

I have herpes (HSV-1) since I was a child. I experience cold sores whenever my immune system weakens for some reasons (poor diet, stress, etc). The thing always appears around my lips, sometimes inside my nose (once it appeared near my eye). Unfortunately, this tends to happen at least once in two months, and it really pisses me off (excuse my bluntness). I have tried all meds I could find, but none seem to be able to prevent it well.
I'm 17 weeks pregnant and Yesterday I broke out in cold sores. I haven't gotten any in over a year and usually it's just one tiny one. This time its three big ones and my lips look like I went through horrible botox!! And for the first time it kinda burns. I'm already using a topical cream from rite aid, however I'm a waitress and looking this unsightly is no bueno for business. Any remedies on making these horrible little buggers go away asap??
Um absolutely a no no I wouldn't kiss my baby anywhere with a cold sore try using abreva for it it's over the counter I used to work in a obgyn office and the docs used to tell pts to buy over the counter first b4 they prescribed a rx. Good luck and congrats.
I've been plagued with constant cold sores for a couple of years. I get one every week either on my lips or in my nose. Do you think having these is affecting ttc? It's a virus so wondering if that's an issue. I'm curious for your thoughts.

At the time I was not sure if it even was even the start of a cold sore because it was so small. I immidiately began taking Lysine for two days and the small redness never developed into a full on sore. During that time I did not understand that cold sores could cause genital herpes to someone else. I thought the two strains were completely different and could not be interchangeable. I gave my partner oral and then we had unprotected sex. I have had oral hsv-1 since i was 5 years old.
I have become very confused lately, I am 24 years old a mother of three and I HAVE NEVER HAD A COLD SORE IN MY LIFE...till now.. My boyfriend and I have been together almost 3years and one of my kids is his... so those who have had kids know that you get tested for herpes and all that other non fun stuff... and I have never had a positive test. My boyfriend doesn't get cold sores. Why is this happening to me now? Is he messing around and got something? Or have I always had it?
