Avatar m tn Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.

Avatar n tn Hi. I m 30 year/man, currently use a cream triamcinolone acetonide cream recommended by my dermatologist for my dry skin of my penis and psoriasis. I've been using it long but not all day, but I really have not seen improvement in my skin from the penis. Also recently discovered that the cream has steroids, which I do not want to use it more. There any cream that you recommend and save for the penis?? Please help! I have a uncomfortable pain and I do not know what to do anymore.
Avatar n tn My 8 year old son has what is believed to be eczema we have done a biopsy which one pathologist read as psoriasis and another read as eczema and his dermatologist thought he had skin lupus. We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice????
Avatar n tn I just recently went to another doctor today that is giving me blood work and gave me nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. The problems are on my foot, thumb, starting on my fingers by my nails and now under my rings. The skin is very itchy and on my hands it is white patches that sort of looks like a bad dry skin. On the bottom of my feet it is scales and cracking. Has anyone else been in my situation or have any advice? I am so sick of not finding a diagnosis!
Avatar m tn Hello, Triamcinolone is a high potency steroid and should be used with caution on the delicate and thin skin of penis. Instead you should use milder steroids such as 1% OTC hydrocortisone and prescription hydrocortisone with iodoquinol creams. Also useful in this area are Protopic and Elidel. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Avatar n tn There is no cure as such, but it can be controlled by medicated shampoos and lotions. Psoriasis too should be ruled out and so also contact dermatitis to shampoos, oils, soaps etc A tissue biopsy of the scab and underlying tissue may be required to reach a diagnosis. Hope this helps. Please consult a skin specialist. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn Please get it examined from a dermatologist and get a biopsy skin done. Till then wear cotton undergarments and use mild soaps and detergents. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Avatar f tn Hi i have been experiencing itchy anus and along the butt crack since a few days now. The doctor thought it to be psoriasis and prescribed Dovobet ointment. I have been applying the same past 2 days but with no relief. Today i noticed that the whole butt crack is discolored! The skin has turned white (my skin tone is wheatish). I am very stressed and thinking negative...Please help!
Avatar m tn As I had previously experience of psoriasis, I thought I may help it with triamcinolone cream. After using triamcinolone, I didn't have the itch but once I stopped using it, the itch would come back. I injected triamcinolone (1/2 ml in two points) under skin (1-2 mm depth). The itch went but the area remained little red for about 2 weeks. Then the area turned into whiter or brighter (which was visible only in sunlight).
Avatar f tn ve never been diagnosed. She also prescribed me a cream called Triamcinolone Acetonide, and it does help, but very little. What is this? When will it go away?
Avatar f tn I finally, after realizing the same thing u have, went from doctor to doctor until i found one who prescribed a low-dose cream called nystatin and triamcinolone acetopide. i use it twice a week and she has been free for about four months now. maybe its not the prescription but the doctor.

Avatar n tn My supply has run out, and I am wondering if a stronger cortico-steroid cream might be better, like clobetasol propionate. Is that stronger and is that something I can use for a possible psoriasis problem? What are the pros and cons of that idea?
Avatar n tn I've had psoriasis for almost as long as Hep C, 30-35 years. After beginning tx they gave a script for triamcinolone 1%, which works as well, if not better, as anything b4. And it's cheap too! 4$ a Wally-World. Stick with it, it'll work. Stay strong.
2091106 tn?1332817998 I'm calling it a rash, but I don't really know what it is. I took a picture of it and downloaded it as my profile picture. It itches and is a redish color. I have had it for a couple months and it hasn't gone away. I have been using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream from someone, but it hasn't helped. I don't have any money to see a doctor so any help would be great.
Avatar n tn ve tried every remedy and medical treatment I could get so far, with no results. Candida injections. Triamcinolone cream. Cutting and burning and freezing (they grow back as fast as the skin does). Tee tree oil. Garlic. Zinc supplements and cream. Vitamin supplements in general. Banana peel. Apple cider vinegar. Potassium. Essential oils such as oil of oregano. Homeopathic treatments (hey, I'm desperate enough to try) such as thuja and dulcamara. So what's the big problem with this?
Avatar m tn I used some Nystatin and Triamcinolone cream that cleared it all up within a day or two. I stopped using it and it continues to come back. Its been over a month and a half now that it keeps coming back. They are like little pimples no clusters with a white head that disappear and ulcer in a couple days. Again no symptons, but im afraid i got some type of herpes. What is my risk? I suffer from psoriasis. I have not been tested yet for anything.
Avatar n tn When I finally break into this nasty state, the doctor that I am seeing believes it to be Guttate Psoriasis because of the shape/look and does a punch biopsy on one of the worst spots and a throat culture to check for Strep Throat which is the main cause of GP. Results are in, and I have had an untreated Strep Throat. No conculsion drawn from the biopsy. So I get some Triamcinolone cream to put on my spots, a steroid of sorts im told, and **HERE'S THE KICKER**..
