transderm scop on wrist

I am in need of finding a better treatment for all this nausea (side effect of the triple treatment for my Hep C) and was wondering if any of you have tried the Transderm-Scop patches that you wear for 72 hours. Have tried Zofran and all it gave me was enormous headaches, now using the Phenegran but needed it every 4 hours like clockwork.....ANY opinions and information will be greatly appreciated.

I have tried antivert, valium, and the Transderm Scop patch to treat it. The patch helped for a while, but in the past few days seems to have stopped working. Also in the last few days I have had upset stomach, gas, and mild diarrhea. I have been drinking pedialite and gatorade to treat dehydration if that's what it is/prevent dehydration. I am completely at my wits end - I can't work or drive or function or do anything but lie down and not move my head or focus on anything.

hi helpme Im on tramadol and I have vertigo I take a patch for vertigo transderm scop 1.5mgs asked him to put you on that one. plus Im 52 years old. I use to take mecilzine didnt work you will be fine I have de generative disc diease in my neck I had all what you said but Im still going to a doctor for my left leg numb up to my half he said it might be from wearing to tight cloths. get a second opinion.

Went on an 7 days Mexican cruise and use the Scop patch on day 1 and day 4. Removed l'ast patch on day 7 and extreme vertigo and borderline vomitting set in within 24-48 hours. Doctor, though aware of meclizine "step down" treatment, recommended dosage of 2 x 25mg for two days and then repeat using 12.5 mg dosage twice daily for two more days. This simply does not help. Not strong enough. I am now following something closer to Mary2008599's step down dosages...

He sent me for a hearing test, which was normal. Then he took me off Antivert and had me try transderm-scop patches but I had an allergic reaction to it. So now I'm on Valium and Compazine. I would say those medications help about 50% of the way. I don't feel as dizzy, but if I'm up and about too long I eventually need to lay down. The nausea is mostly gone as long as I keep with the compazine.

Has anyone that has gastricparesis tried Zelnorm? It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help.

I've actually been wondering for quite a while if thyroid meds could be delivered via "transderm patch", like they do with motion sickness meds, birth control hormones, etc. Yes, they would be especially great for delivering a continuous dose of T3, but they would have their uses for T4 also. For one, they would bypass the gut and all the interections with food and problems with absorbtion. I actually emailed the question to Abbott a while back.

I slipped and fell backwards, landing on outstretched hand, wrist bent back. I had a pisiformectomy and ulnar nerve decompression at guyon canal on same wrist 3 weeks earlier. When I fell hurt like hell thought I broke it, then whole hand went numb for about 15 min to 1/2 hr. It didn't bruise but it swelled up under my incision. I iced a lot 2 days later swelling came down.

I was really sick to my stomach the morning I was to fly home so I asked for NS to call in a sticker and I have been fine since (3 days now). I am just wondering if those with nausea problems have tried transderm scopolamine 1.5 mg dis. I think I am going to talk to my PCP about it tomorrow it says it is a anticholinergic agent used for preventing nausea and vomiting associted with motion sickness and recovery from anesthesia and surgery.

I suffer from profound episodes of vertigo, so the doctor has prescribed me a 1.5 mg transderm patch. I only use it when the vertigo is extremely severe. My problem is this: When I apply the patch, (behind the ear, either right or left) I immmediately experience extreme anisocoria in whichever eye is nearer the patch. While I am curious about this, mostly because it is not listed under side/adverse effects,it is not my priority concern.

For the past few days, I have been having a tightness or spasm on the top of my wrist. It hasn't been painful until today. I've never had this issue before. The tightness only lasts for a few seconds but it happens every few minutes and it's all day. Does anyone know what this could be?

@hotrod957 excruciating!! I dont want to scare you or be negative on this approach but a "benzo" addiction needs a lot more attention and nuturing then an opiate one. Listen to @overopiates NEVER cold turkey them. With my rehab and detox knowledge I would recommend that you get ativan (lorazipan) 1mg. Motrin 800, pepcid A.C. and if you can from a free clinic or doc if you have one get a blood pressure medication.

my husband has a smooth painless lump on his forearm above the wrist to the right side. you can't notice the bump unless you look deeply but when i touch it you feel it and it's not hard at all. what is this?

He is 9 yrs old and is autistic. He has excessive drooling, we have tried ot, his diet. reminders to swallow, transderm patches, ect....... I am now looking into surgery to cauterize the glands and I was also informed there are botox shots that nay help, It does not bother me, but its starting to effect him, and his teachers are pushing me to have something done, becuuae i think it just annoys them, that they have to change his Bandanna he wears around his neck to catch the drool.

Hi All he has told me was he would op on left hand and release the presser in the wrist making the tunnel bigger so stop trapping the nerves in the wrist and the things that could go wrong that was it once left hand was done he would do right hand sorry that is it bye

Did you ever find a solution to this or see a doctor for a diagnosis? I've had exactly the same condition develop over the past 2-3 weeks on a large vein on my left wrist. It's not extremely painful but a little sore if touched. Any feedback would be helpful if you've found a resolution. Thanks!

Hi MFS, i've also had a hard bump on the ulner side of wrist and it turned out to be a gangling cyst that only showed up on an MRI. I had surgery to remove it and all has been fine since for that reason. Also if you do have surgery and your only problem is this issue, don't let the doctor go all though your wirst to fix other thing that arn't hurting you. My first doctor roto rootered my wrist and i went in for a small tear to a legiment.

They were also not on my palms, but on the outside of my wrist. However, they did not show up on my feet or anything. I never found out what they were or what caused them, but all I did was rub vaseline and they went away after a week or two. I figured they were some allergic reaction to something.

Hard painful lum noted on top left hand below wrist and in line with index and middle finger. Very painful when bumped and with flexion. Pain with burning, throbbing to wrist, hand, and fingers as well. Same bump on right hand but not painful at present. Bump is firm and feels like bone. Any thoughts what it could be?

Hello, resently small red bumps have appeared on my wrist they don't itch and arnt irritating. They have been on my wrist for the past 5 day and have not gone away or spread to any other parts of my body. I would really like to get rid of them bit don't know how. Does anyone have a solution?

I finally had an MRI done of my left wrist yesterday. It only took 10 months to get the VA to do one. I just got off the phone with my PC as she called to let me know that there are torn ligaments in my wrist. I can't tell you how many times I had complained about the pain in my wrist to people at the VA over those 10 months. Anyway my PC is referring me to an orthopedic surgeon and physical therapy for the problems with my wrist.

Hello I wanted to know is that I work on the computer everyday for many hours and im useing my mouse and I move the mouse with my right hand so my right hand near the wrist of my hand is on the desktop like a desk and my right wrist hand is red and it bothers me here and there when I have my right wrist hand on the desk on the computer for a long time. What I wanna know is is that normal for my right wrist hand to be red when I have it on the desk for a long time? Or even for a short time?
