Avatar f tn I am in need of finding a better treatment for all this nausea (side effect of the triple treatment for my Hep C) and was wondering if any of you have tried the Transderm-Scop patches that you wear for 72 hours. Have tried Zofran and all it gave me was enormous headaches, now using the Phenegran but needed it every 4 hours like clockwork.....ANY opinions and information will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I have tried antivert, valium, and the Transderm Scop patch to treat it. The patch helped for a while, but in the past few days seems to have stopped working. Also in the last few days I have had upset stomach, gas, and mild diarrhea. I have been drinking pedialite and gatorade to treat dehydration if that's what it is/prevent dehydration. I am completely at my wits end - I can't work or drive or function or do anything but lie down and not move my head or focus on anything.
Avatar f tn Has anyone that has gastricparesis tried Zelnorm? It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help.
Avatar n tn My husband had the Transderm Scop Patch on for a total of one mo.,due to the fact that when he removed it he would have dizziness & nausea. One week ago he removed it for 48 hrs. and had vertigo & severe nausea. He then had a sudden loss of memory, went to hosp.via ambulance and spent 2 days having MRI,CT,numerous other testing and was diagnosed with Transient Global Amnesia. Fortunately memory returns in 24-48 hrs. but he still has symptoms of dizziness and headaches.

1903798 tn?1333905288 I think I am going to talk to my PCP about it tomorrow it says it is a anticholinergic agent used for preventing nausea and vomiting associted with motion sickness and recovery from anesthesia and surgery. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. They said when you remove it to wash your hands really well because the med on the sticker can dialate your eyes and I don't remember what else.
Avatar f tn I'm 9 weeks 4 days and am desperate to find a cure for morning sickness... I can't keep anything down... Tried vitamin b-12 like my doctor said but that isn't helping... Has anybody tried the sea-band and had a positive experience?? Please! I'm miserably sick..
Avatar n tn They are bands designed for travel sickness, you can get them online or at any chemist/pharmacy. I felt they didn't do anything for my morning sickness, they just irritated my wrists! But it is worth a go, some women have noticed a difference.
Avatar f tn Do sea bands work?
Avatar f tn , like they do with motion sickness meds, birth control hormones, etc. Yes, they would be especially great for delivering a continuous dose of T3, but they would have their uses for T4 also. For one, they would bypass the gut and all the interections with food and problems with absorbtion. I actually emailed the question to Abbott a while back. They surprised me in that they actually called me within 24 hours.
Avatar n tn I had morning sickness for about a week when I was 7 weeks along. Then I bought sea bands and wear them constantly (except to shower.
Avatar f tn Try sea bands, they worked pretty well for me when I was pregnant with my 2nd. And she actually uses them now for car sickness.
Avatar f tn I'm 7weeks tomorrow and I've been so sick. I can't hold down anything, even crackers. I was given zophran for nausea but I can't keep it down long enough for it to do any good. Any other suggestions.

Avatar f tn Hi my morning sickness is terrible.. This is my 3rd child and the morning sickness never gets better can I get some helpful tips on how to relieve this...even if its only a small relief... I'm sick from sun up to sun down...
Avatar f tn I'm definitely not a scientist, and correct me if I'm wrong...but the beta-emitters, H3 and C14, don't damage flesh when they decay, do they? C14 is a naturally occurring biological element from what I remember from archaeology...and I wouldn't worry about it because I would imagine the chance of exposure and subsequent harm would be very low. Tritium I would worry about only slightly more....You may simply have to pull your boss aside and talk to them.
Avatar f tn And pharmacist told me lots of women used it for morning sickness so I bought and tried wearing it. Since then I never missed any days at work and my body went back to normal. My doctor told me you can wear it as long as you want. No harm. Not taking any medication.
Avatar n tn I'm 8 1/2 weeks along and my morning sickness (all day sickness) is bad. I can't keep food down except for a few hours in be evening. My OB told me to try unison and b6 bit I'm nervous! I have an 18month old who doesn't sleep through the night due to ear infections and I'm worried it will knock me out an I won't hear her! I'm super sensative to medications and while I want to stop throwing up I also can't pass out cold. Anybody else take it? Did it work?
