1810386 tn?1405549577 Amitriptyline and Tramadol is horible interaction leading to Serotonine Syndrome. Had it once, before surgery. any SSRI is evil with Tramal. brrrrrrr.
216046 tn?1193943404 This very old thread is about Tramadol and Lyrica. I almost didn't see your comment - and doubt others will see it at all. If you wish to make a comment to be seen on the web when searched - and to be seen by our members please start your own thread. Click on "Ask a Question" it's simple to do. As for your comment, there are variables and this subject needs much more than a one-liner. It's complex.
Avatar m tn When I went back to my doctor for a follow up on Friday, he also decided to put me on Xanax (PRN) and Celexa (10mg/1XD). I always research any medication I take, and have been reading that the Metoprolol Tartrate and the Citaprolam are a bad combination and can lead to extremely low blood pressure or even heart stoppage. I was wondering if anyone else out there has been prescribed these medications together, and if so, have you had any adverse reactions?
475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
Avatar f tn You are correct about there the MAJOR drug interaction between tramadol and sertraline (Zoloft). Please note that there are several moderate drug interactions with your medications, for example, sertraline (Zoloft), pregabalin (Lyrica), clonidine, and methocarbamol (Robaxin) all can increase side effects such dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired thinking and judgment when taken together. It would be a good idea to review your medication regimen with your provider and pharmacist.
Avatar f tn Hi- This is Elle60, I have questions and would like to get lots of help please! Stef2001 and anyone out there! I just diagnosed with occipital neuralgia nerve pain on one side of the head & neck), the doctor put me on Clonazepam (muscle relaxant) and Celexa for anti- anxiety. I am worry that Clonazepam has side effect with liver disease but the drug is helping me tremendously. Since I am so sensitive to lots of medication, I couldn't take any other.
Avatar f tn I was thinking about trying st. John's wort for depression. I take tramadol for a knee alignment issue. I currently take 100mg-200mg about 3 times a week. I know there is an interaction with st. John's wort due to the seratonin increase they both cause. Am I able to take the st. John's wort on days I don't need the tramadol? If not, how long should I wait to take the St. John's wort after taking the tramadol and when would I be able to take the st.
Avatar m tn I also ran an interaction checker on all three, Tramadol, Hydroxyzine and Synthroid, Synthroid produce no interaction with the other two, al though I di get a "Moderate" Interaction on Tramadol and Hydroxyzine as below: MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
Avatar f tn And what is a better drug to take? I am ADD/ADHD and really stressed out. I feel better when I take celexa 20 mg. daily and 5mg of Ritalin twice daily. I am only 4'11" and this weight HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar m tn CeleXa inhibits reuptake allowing more seratonin to be left in the synaptic gap causing the threshold for the nerves firing to be techniquelly less because less has to be delivered for the spark to occur since more is already there and available. I have smoked M. for 2 years and recently started CeleXa. The only thing ive noticed thus far is that I am less affected by the M. now that I am on CeleXa.
Avatar n tn I am currently taking 4 1mg xanax's a day, 80 mg of celexa, 150 mg of welbutrin sr, 30 mg of abilify, and 1 mg of requip. I would like to be able to go out with my friends and be able to have a few drinks for my birthday but I'm scared of the interaction with all this medication and alcohol. What could possibly be the side effects of mixing all of these.
Avatar f tn Let's start with the drinking part first. If you are still taking this medication, get up right now and go read all the stickers that you'll find on the bottle. One of them will say "Do NOT drink while taking this medication." That warning is on there for a reason and if you don't know what that reason is, I suggest you find out. How well did you know this new roommate? Were you use to smoking pot?
Avatar m tn When I picked up the Effexor at my pharmacy the pharmacist was surprised that he prescribed me Effexor in combination with the Celexa, he said they are too similar and Welbutrin would have been a better choice because they would compliment each other rather than doubling up on similar meds that could cause saratonin syndrome. What are your opinions? Did the doctor made a bad choice? Has anyone here ever been on Celexa and Effexor at the same time?
Avatar n tn No added interaction. Make sure to bring full list of all medications your husband is on to each doctor's appointment as he may see more than one prescriber and make sure to show that list to them each time they consider prescribing new medications. Jennifer R RPH www.drugstore.
Avatar n tn Hello, I was inquiring about drinking alcohol with Celexa. I'm currently on 40 mg of celexa and have been on that for about 5 months now. I'm currently taking it for anxiety, and it has been working quite well. I was taking Zoloft for a couple years and it seemed to wear off. I had no problems with alcohol and Zoloft. I have a few questions regarding Celexa and alcohol consumption. 1. Is it safe to drink alcohol in moderation with Celexa?
Avatar f tn Since you are on a considerably high dose of tramadol yes, the interaction is significant and can indeed cause serotonin syndrome, Also since Cymbalta is a potent SNRI. Was the tramadol prescribed with by a doctor knowing you were using tramadol as such high dose and vice versa? Reading that is serotonin syndrome on the internet won't improve your situation. I repeat serotonin syndrome is a medical condition that rarely cause trouble. If you experience fever then its time to go to the ER.
Avatar f tn oh, this is just me but unless a doctor tells me to, I wouldn't. Drug interactions are real. https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/suboxone-with-tramadol-439-2040-2221-0.html At the very least, ask a pharmacist.
541465 tn?1219427886 Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone. I was kinda bad and gave all all my klonopins to a friend (at the time she needed it, but I do have seizures so i must take benzo's), All i had let was 1.5 mgs of Klonopin, 0.2mgs Chlonodine, 1 mg ativan (another pill i found with the tramadol)., the 200mg Seroquel ( well right now, i cut them in half i i dont need it), Its hard to pee at the clinic when they have the random urins, and that 50 mg Tramadol.
Avatar f tn The doc said to use Tramadol for break-through pain. I also take Celexa. I know Tramadol has big contraindications with both drugs. If I take any it's one 50 mg once or twice a day. When I do I feel really bad, like dizzy, light breathing, just not me at all. I've seen on the boards that people take Norco for break-through pain. Will that work? It doesn't seem to present as many complications as Tramadol. What do you all think?
1082697 tn?1260064616 Firstly just because a side effect doesn't usually happen doesn't mean it can't occur and also it might be an interaction with the Celexa. They should look all this up in the pharmacy database that only physicians have access to. In the meantime you could go to the medication websites yourself or ask your pharmacist. They should definitely check into the interactions between the two as that might be a possibility. Zyprexa was quite sedating for so yes that is more typical though.

728965 tn?1266373645 Hi, I just did a quick google on 'Tramadol and Veginal Bleeding' and found some relation between the two, and it might interact with other meds you're taking. Http://www.drug.com usually has good info. and drug side effects and interations. . Since I'm in a very mush jello mode today, I didn't spend much time reading every article I found. Try using your search engine and see what you can find. I've never had side effects like that........
