too much sleep for babies

I've been feeling like I'm getting to much sleep too I don't get to sleep 12 hrs bc I have an almost 2 yr old but I feel like i could very easily. This is my fourth baby and I've always felt so tired with each pregnancy but this time is the worst! I have an appt. Tuesday and I'm going to have the doc see if my iron levels are low or what else could be causing my extreme tiredness. I'm tired of being tired lol.

Can your little move too much? My little girl has constantly been moving these past few days.

s going to be like this at least for a couple weeks maybe a month...babies eat, sleep and poop, like the above mentioned...just make sure you are waking up the baby every 2 to 4 hours to eat. And check on the baby frequently to make sure all is okay.

Babies eat when they're hungry. You can wake her up to eat, but if she's not hungry. .. She's not going to eat. She has wet diapers, so that's good. My daughter slept so much as a new born. Some babies are just good sleepers.

m 19 weeks today and most of yesterday and all of today I have felt my Lil one kicking n rolling around, usually he/she sleeps till about 2 pm n then is up for an hour n then sleeps again till 9 pm n then I sleep, so to suddenly b feeling it Allll day long makes me worry about bit, anyone had too much movement due to distress or something? I jus hope my Lil mango isn't in there like.. Aaah get me out!!

d have to move the stove and fridge for then move the couch tv stand and tv to make the living room look right..is all this too much strain for the babies or am I ok as long as I continue to take breaks as needed?

i sleep for very long hours....why is that so???? and when i sleep i am not aware of my enviornment....i sleep like a person who has fainted.......what could be the reason???

My twins are 12days old and for the past 5days they were up every hour crying i thought they were just hungry so i kept feeding them, well i got them dr.browns bottles for fussy, gassy babies and now for two nights straight, they only get up every 3-4hrs and they eat get changed and fall right back to sleep:) get the bottles! They are amazing.

i have a one month and 17 days old and Is he eating too much ? he eats 4-6 ounces every 4 hours and sometimes 8 ounces every 5 hours he was an 8 lb 10 ounce baby, and now im not sure how many pounds he is now but yea hes a pretty chunky baby lol but is that too much ?

I wouldn't worry too much honestly - mine gets hiccups all the time it's a consistent thumping - too consistent to be kicks .... Every baby is different. Mine is super active one hour... The quiet for 1-2....

The only thing with eating so much at a time is that you may regret it later like u are now lol. I use to get really bad heartburn after eating too much. Good luck with those twins though! Maybe ur body is just preparing u to carry 2 babies :) Take care!

Negative, ghost rider. You can't cuddle a newborn too much. In my child development course at university i learned that babies don't start getting "spoiled" until 9 months of age. If you let your baby cry and don't comfort him/her they will start putting together if I cry mom won't hold me, and will start attaching to the people who do hold him/her. While everyone has a different opinion I am a firm believer in holding a new baby as often as possible.

is it possible for the baby to move too much? I was told they can sleep up to 14hrs so how come i feel him so much all day??

Hi! So I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I feel like I need to sleep all hours through the day. I want to ask if that is normal? Or is it too early? I feel like it's too early for that. And what can help with it I'm taking pre natal vitamins and get 9 hours of sleep and I still feel tired. Please help! I'm still going to school and I don't want to get behind with school work with how much I wish to sleep.

Anyone else feel like they are sleeping too much.37 weeks and 5days. After i get my son on the bus in the morning I come home and sleep till noon or 1 in the afternoon... I'm always feeling tired. Just wondering if anyone else feels that way.

We are waiting for 1st trimester to done with also which is why this site helps so much. But i would sleep all day pretty much, after 2 hrs of being awake, i wanted sleep at 6 weeks. Now im 9 weeks, still tired but had a burst of energy and turned my house upside down cleanng it for 4 hours.

Honestly that doesn't sound like good bedside manner. Even for a doctor that's kinda rude. As it is your a first timer and 33 weeks 5 lbs is pretty average. Boys tend to weigh a bit more then girls. My son was born at 37 weeks weighing 8lbs. All my sisters kids were all between 7.5-10 and her babies were never those chubby babies they just are tall and heavy boned. My son weighs 27 lbs and is a fit build and kinda stocky he's 2.

I am 38+2 and exhausted 99% of the time. Unfortunately due to pain and being uncomfortable I don't sleep much more than 6 hours at night but do take a nap half way through the day.
