Tiotropium twice daily

Common Questions and Answers about Tiotropium twice daily

spiriva

Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar m tn I take Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium bromide) 2.5 mcg/actuation, and Wixela (fluticasone propionate salmeterol inhalation powder) for my COPD. Is there a sequence I should be taking these meds in? Is there a time frame I should use between the two meds?
Avatar n tn Yes, there are. Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) is one and Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) another. Each is a bronchodilator and capable of giving good relief of shortness of breath.
Avatar f tn At my six-monthly checkup at my local hospital here in Spain there was a replacement doctor and since he was young I thought he might be willing to hear why I was not taking spiriva and steroids. He confirmed that a person with severe COPD MUST use these medicines. But - I objected - they do not cure, they’re only supposed to make you feel a little better and have nasty adverse effects.
Avatar n tn I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
Avatar f tn just started klonopin .05 twice daily on wednesday, making me extremly tired. does this go away within a few weeks? does my body need to just get used to it?
Avatar m tn 5MG once-twice daily, with a qty of 20! that is no way to taper some one off this medication, right? I talked to my aunt who is a doctor (she will not prescribe any narcotics through out our family because of DEA ref's etc) and she told me to go to a new doctor because stopping this drug is way to risky especially for someone my age (18). She actually doesn't even want me on the medication, because a few years ago I would take them to get high.
Avatar f tn If from the lungs, you could be experiencing Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) withdrawal symptoms, depending on what type of lung problem was being treated with the Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder). These symptoms, along with your arms feeling weak and heavy, could all be due to anxiety, but could also be symptoms of more serious disease of the heart or lungs. For that reason, you do need to see your doctor to sort this out.
Avatar f tn i feel nausea everyday and have a dry persistant cough then i vomit white froth and clear phlem twice a day ???
Avatar f tn Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) has a maximum duration of action of about 36 hours. To be safe, you would want to be off the medicine for 48 to 72 hours before the spirometry. It would have been preferable, but not mandatory to do the pulmonary function tests (PFTs) at the time the diagnosis of chronic lung disease was made especially if the diagnosis was unequivocal. The other important question would be, “Why 3 CT scans, presumably of your lungs, in 16 months?
Avatar m tn Cause of low DLCO and drop in it from test 1 to test 1? I am currently on tiotropium bromide and salmeterol/fluticasone propionate. My reason for posting this is one doc is pessimistic and the other highly optimistic. Thank you.

Avatar f tn I have headaches at least twice daily to the point where it hurts to touch my head. I become dizzy and my vision is blurred. Today while driving home, I had another bad headache and I noticed that the left side of my cheek and mouth were numb and looked swollen. I have read information on aneurysm and I'm scared that this could be something I may have. My sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor six years ago and underwent surgery to have it removed.
1255529 tn?1293821550 But in any case I was diagnosed with daily chronic migraines. I went off all over the counter med that I was taken and also kept a documentation of what triggered my headaches and all that i have found is that I have a sensitive to light and noise from time to time. I wake up with one and go to bed with it. Laying down seems to help sometimes but starts as soon as I open my eyes. it has waken me up only a couple of time, and feels like an sand clock when I roll over.
Avatar n tn The left hip has been replaced twice, the second time was 5 years ago. Unfortunately, that hip still dislocates and the last time it did, the ortheopedic surgeon in ER vigorously smashed my femur head through the thigh and hip areas for 4 hours when attempting to reduce it. After that dislocation, I was bruised from the SI up to the neck. Worse, I felt extensive burning and muscle aching and fatiguing in my lower butt and upper thigh when walking.
2030686 tn?1351688548 As a genotype two, I took riba twice daily. Since it was keeping me awake at night, my hepatologist said I could take it with breakfast and lunch.I was told 5 hours apart was fine. That worked for me. It has such a long half life, that you probably could take it once daily but it's probably best to take it as directed, twice with meals. It's important to take it with a substantial meal so as not to cause nausea.
Avatar m tn I have also experienced daily headaches in my life. For a while it was made worse by the pain med rebound effect but wasnt solved by stopping. There are meds out there that could help with prevention such as amitriptyline and other antidepressants. I am taking a blood pressure med called diltazem and it works for me but there are several others. Unfortuneately you might need to give several meds a try before finding the one for you. But in the end it is so worth it.
Avatar n tn Hi. I'm a 17 year old female, and I have been experiencing migranes for the past 5 days straight. I suffer from depression, and am currently waiting on a therapist to call me back. I'm hoping it's just a symptom of my depression. I have also been in emerg twice in the past month with anxiety attacks. I don't have any medical history, and barely had heaches, let alone migranes in the past. The pain is unbearable, and is something that advil extra strength cannot conquer.
Avatar f tn Before that I was just feeling nauseas once or twice a month which I related to my PMS or something. It has become daily now and sometimes I feel dizzy if i put my head down to look at something. I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder and it was negative. I think it is due to my fibroids but the doc says no. Now I have to have a HIDA scan. Anyone else have daily nausea without any other significant symptoms?
Avatar f tn My biggest problems are severe stomach pain after eating and constipation despite a high fiber diet. My GI has recommended taking a laxative daily. Is this safe long-term?
Avatar f tn my whole body aches and deppression is crazy.. What will help me get through this??
Avatar m tn I have always been very regular with my ablutions (probably 2-3 times daily) and this has not changed at all. However, now there is no consistency with it. Sometimes firm, sometimes liquid and sometimes a bit of both. This seems to vary from bowel movement to bowel movement and sometimes when i eat a meal it seems to make my body need the toilet like a reflex or something. If anyone has any ideas on this i would love to hear them.

1128288 tn?1259945751 I am 28 years old with 2 kids and I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Daily Headaches. My headache starts at the base of my skull and sometimes radiates from there, but is mostly on the left side of my head. It is there all day long everyday for 2 or 3 months now. OTC meds may help, but as soon as they wear off the headache comes right back. My doctor told me to stop taking the OTCs and precribed me Fioricet and Phenergan.
