spiriva

Avatar m tn I take Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium bromide) 2.5 mcg/actuation, and Wixela (fluticasone propionate salmeterol inhalation powder) for my COPD. Is there a sequence I should be taking these meds in? Is there a time frame I should use between the two meds?
Avatar n tn Yes, there are. Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) is one and Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) another. Each is a bronchodilator and capable of giving good relief of shortness of breath.
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar f tn If from the lungs, you could be experiencing Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) withdrawal symptoms, depending on what type of lung problem was being treated with the Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder). These symptoms, along with your arms feeling weak and heavy, could all be due to anxiety, but could also be symptoms of more serious disease of the heart or lungs. For that reason, you do need to see your doctor to sort this out.
Avatar f tn Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) has a maximum duration of action of about 36 hours. To be safe, you would want to be off the medicine for 48 to 72 hours before the spirometry. It would have been preferable, but not mandatory to do the pulmonary function tests (PFTs) at the time the diagnosis of chronic lung disease was made especially if the diagnosis was unequivocal. The other important question would be, “Why 3 CT scans, presumably of your lungs, in 16 months?
757137 tn?1347196453 yes advair DPI has lactose it in. As far as I know all dry powder inhalers have lactose because it is the "carrier" for the medication to get it into the lungs. Advair does have the normal inhaler - HFA which is lactose free.
Avatar f tn There is absolutely no need for powder. It can cause respiratory issues. Use coconut oil or a paste to protect baby's bottom from irritation.
Avatar m tn Last year I was hospitalized with Stevens Johnsons Syndrome(SJS), which left me with chronic dry eye and chronic bronchitis although I did not experience any obvious respiratory symptoms. Prior to that I was absolutely healthy and played sports and worked out fairly regularly. After a few months recovering from this, when I started strenuous exercises i.e. running, sprinting, I felt my chest tightening up.
Avatar f tn How dry are there pads? Are they cracking any? You can get this powder from your vet I can't remember exactly what it is called. Anyway when I lived in Palm Beach Florida I would babysit a friends lab who's feet were so dry her pads would crack and sometimes bleed. The powder was applied twice a day and Gracie's (the lab) pads quit cracking as much and they weren't near as dry.
Avatar f tn You can use plain old corn starch instead of baby powder, its what they use to make the safer baby powder anyways.
Avatar f tn She has Bisolvon powder on her food to deal with mucus build up. Over the last couple of days her cough has turned to a very dry cough as opposed to wet mucus gagging. Wonder if anyone has any ideas. Have not been to vets about this yet as always seem to be there. Have given her some honey but not much effect yet.
Avatar n tn Yes, make sure your getting enough vitamins and, also if you want to keep it dry, just throw some baby powder on it, because baby powder will soak up the moisture and keep them dry as hell, Hope this helped.
Avatar f tn Yup its sweat. I have really big boobs DDD and I get the same thing, but its way worse during pregnancy. I just put baby powder under them and in between to keep the area dry, if it's not moist it wont smell or itch. It grows nasty bacteria from it being hot and moist. Make sure to keep the area dry or a rash will develop. Also dry under them really well after showering, again moisture is the enemy.
Avatar f tn I had the same problem with Advair Discus. I have since sworn off dry powder inhalers completely. Dry powder inhalers have larger particles. If the proper technique is not used, it settles in places it isn't supposed to settle. It is also made with dried milk products which is problematic for people with milk allergies. I now use the MDI inhalers. There are three versions - Advir Hfa, Symbicort and Dulera is the newest.
Avatar f tn Jock itch or tinea cruris is an infection of the groin area caused by fungus and can be triggered by friction from clothes and prolonged wetness in the groin area, like sweating. It usually responds to self-care such as keeping the skin clean and dry and trying not to scratch. Applying topical over-the-counter antifungal or drying powders may also help. However, if it persists for more than 2 weeks or recurs, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper management.
Avatar m tn next night I did the same with orange oil. Months later it has not return. I shower, dry the area well, powder it and enjoy the relief. MEN WILL HAVE a more delicate area but it won't be any worse than the groin area. It's gonna sting some but will kill the bacteria. I would suggest using some cut up tee shirts, moisten slightly, apply oil and wrap shirt around the area and perhaps wear underwear to keep it in place.
Avatar f tn What is the difference in wipes and baby powder? Do i have to use both or no?
Avatar f tn Am I crazy or does anyone else have a cravings for weird things like dirt, dry wall, baby powder. Or like stuff that is not food!
Avatar n tn I have had the same problem for quite some time. I'll use lotrimun powder spray and baby powder every morning and evening after washing, it does the trick. But during the summer when sweating is inevitable, the jock itch will return. I haven't found a permanate cure for my case, but you'll find the "jock itch" powder spray + baby powder can keep it dry for quite come time. Try it.
Avatar f tn I have what seems to be a rash between my legs and crotch. It has been staying moist and I have tried keeping baby powder on it but hasn't seemed to get any better. Does anybody know what this could be? I'm 38 weeks and don't want any harm to come to my baby during delivery.
Avatar n tn On the whole talc powder suggestion.. would something like Gold Bond Medicated powder be okay to keep the area dry? Or does the medicated element of the powder inhibit the sore from healing?

Avatar f tn Normally, you are told to stay out of your residence for a certain number of hours to allow the chemical to dry. Once dry it is safe for all humans and pets, and is only harmful to the pests.
