Avatar f tn The main side effects of Neurontin® (gabapentin) are dizziness and sleepiness. It could be the cause of your feeling tired. You should inform the doctor who prescribed the Neurontin® (gabapentin) of your new symptoms. He/she may want to have you temporarily discontinue the medicine to see if your symptoms subside. Significant chest or respiratory symptoms are not reported as an adverse effect of this medicine.
Avatar f tn But - I objected - they do not cure, they’re only supposed to make you feel a little better and have nasty adverse effects. So he gave two new drugs: Seebri Breezhaler (glycopyrronium) 44 micrograms and Oslif Breezehaler (Indacaterol) 150 micrograms. I googled them quickly and they seem to be pretty similar both to spiriva and to one another. Can you please tell me whether you believe 1) these two new inhalers go well together and 2) it’s an improvement over spiriva.
Avatar m tn I take Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium bromide) 2.5 mcg/actuation, and Wixela (fluticasone propionate salmeterol inhalation powder) for my COPD. Is there a sequence I should be taking these meds in? Is there a time frame I should use between the two meds?
Avatar n tn Yes, there are. Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) is one and Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) another. Each is a bronchodilator and capable of giving good relief of shortness of breath.

Avatar f tn About 2 months ago I was prescribed Restasis Eye drops and after being on the dug for about 2-3 weeks I noticed that my mouth got extremely dry. So I looked up all the side effects and none included dry mouth. so I called the Dr. that prescribed it to me and I was told that 1% of patients get this dry mouth and I was told to discontinue use of the drug and come see the Dr in 1 month. It's been a month and I went to the Dr but the symptoms has gotten worse instead of better.
Avatar f tn I firmly believe that my psychiatrist should have warned me about the side effects of this med or any meds he prescribes. By God, they are sure to warn against effects of Viagra and other drugs on TV!!!!!! I would have never thought of telling him about mouth sores and a sore throat. I made no connection at all. I don't know how long it's going to take to get out of my system, but we stopped it on Friday and I hope I don't have any untoward effects from that.
Avatar f tn When you say Advair and Albuterol can cause adverse cardiovascular effects, do you mean both of them can cause adverse effects (either/or) or the two used together can cause adverse effects?
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.

1286779 tn?1400012806 Some medications can have odd adverse effects in older people that don't happen when we're younger. My mother (same age as your mom) had really weird side effects from lyrica but it didn't help her pain so she quit taking it. I think your mom would benefit from a complete medication review by a gerontologist. That's a doctor who specializes in treating seniors.
Avatar f tn Do you have allergies to these medicines or just adverse effects? Allergies are a biochemical response to chemicals that cause measurable physiologic changes and can be lethal. What many people call allergies are actually just adverse effects of the drugs (e.g., upset stomach from aspirin). Adverse reactions can be tolerated, allergies are more complex. Have you talked with your doctor? For example, Atenolol can definitely make people feel tired and foggy.
Avatar n tn There can be some serious adverse effects (some of which are long-term). There is a process to report adverse events to the FDA but I do not know if they "accept" all reports. We do not get full disclosure of a lot of things medical so it seems that would also apply to vaccines. It is important that we do our research since we are the ones who have to live with the after effects. These links may be helpful in making this decision: http://www.fda.

Avatar n tn I received the post exposure HRIG and vaccine set and am experiencing horrible side effects. I am a week out but first had tingling in my arms and legs-was advised to continue. I know have significant head pressure, pressure within my ears and difficulties swallowing. I also have the “head fog” and fatigue that many have described. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar, how long they took to subside and also if there is anything that may have assisted in relief.

Avatar m tn Hi. The side effects of the drug include poor appetite, lethargy, diarrhea, dyspnea, azotemia, weakness, and ataxia. Therefore the symptoms could be connected. I would absolutely take your dog to see the vet as soon as possible, as this is quite a complex drug which must only be given to dogs with properly diagnosed heart fallure. It should not be given to dogs under 6 months of age, to pregnant or lactating dogs and certain forms of cardiac disease.

Avatar f tn The most stunning/shocking aspect of being a breast cancer chemotherapy survivor with long term side effects from the chemo treatments, is the reality that there isn't anyone keeping/reporting these side effects.(to my knowledge). Why don't oncologists, drug makers, or some medical group develop a central reporting of these long term side effects in an effort to gain valuable knowledge from patients who are living longer than ever before, post chemotherapy?
