Avatar f tn I'm delivering at Gwinnett Medical, Lawrenceville
Avatar m tn I often get a lot of PMs and read many posts regarding health anxiety. Having this as my main source of anxiety I can often relate to many of the various situations out in this community. There is often a common thread in these messages relating to a source of one's nervousness...the internet. Remember, the internet is a great resource to reference information, but be VERY careful and consider the source.
Avatar n tn David Shore at North Atlanta Endocrinology and Diabetes (NAED). It is a mile or so from Gwinnett Medical Center. He is pretty straight to the point and keeps up with you as long as you need to be monitered. Plus, if you aren't feeling well, you can call in and get labs right away. I think she should be seeing an endocrinologist who specializes in this sort of problem and not just a GP. Good luck, I hope you guys get the help you need.
550943 tn?1330727580 I personally would am ttc and plan on staying active and using light weights with more repetetion, but with absolutley no strain to the fetus....and definitley the yoga eventhough I don't do that now. good luck to you and sorry for your first loss. we are ttc and it is so frustrating waiting month after month hugh!! i just keep staying in shape and waiting!
Avatar n tn Hello and welcome! There is a list here in the forum of specialists other members have used and liked. It is meant as a place to start and not a referral. Please do keep in mind there is a difference between a neurosurgeon who occasionally sees Chiari patients and one who devotes his practice to this illness. Please also be aware that alot of us do have to travel. Try not to let distance be the only factor in your care. Welcome to our family!
395769 tn?1318449682 I have medicaid which does not cover midwives in Georgia... The doctor who delivered my first pushed an epidural on me when I told him all through my pre-natal care I wanted to deliver naturally. So anyone know of any doctors that accept medicaid that encourage natural childbirth?
Avatar f tn I have good book which combines dressage with pilates and yoga. I do not think I could get through the chemo if I had not been in such good shape to begin with. The doctors are amazed at how well I am doing with as sick as I am. The first thing I did when someone said MS to me was get on a a good diet and exercise plan. I wanted to be a as healthy as I could to fight Ms and now Cancer.
Avatar f tn Hi, a lot of the yoga moves bothered me also. What I do is just the breathing and the simple moves that don't hurt my back. I pick and choose.

And don't over do it .
Avatar n tn It's a great addition. Yoga tends to be more mussel building and toning your body, when working out to loose weight you need a good combination of cardio and body toning. I love doing Yoga and it's very helpful to me, but if I didn't walk/run on a treadmill I wouldn't have lost any weight.
Avatar f tn s prenatal yoga in YouTube. Its about half an hour video and she has simplified the asanas for pregnant women. I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.
Avatar f tn re able to do a little bit of yoga every day it will help you, your baby, and your labor! I second staying for the meditation it helps with blood pressure and anxiety! Good luck!
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn My sister actually teaches prenatal yoga. It has helped me with the pregnancy so far even though im only 10 weeks. It has helped me with pain, sleep and nausea. I have known people to do it all thru their pregnancy and they have told me it is a life saver when giving birth and after. It needs to be done regularly too. Whoever teaches you tell them if you have a concern about pain, stiffness or illness and they can change your session accordingly to help that. Hope everything goes well for you.
Avatar f tn Is beginner yoga safe while pregnant? Or would I have to do yoga for pregnant women?
