1) Should oral Bisphosphanates be preferred over intravenous ?
2) Will Bisphosphonates be sufficient in this case, or are Teriparatides needed ? Teriparatide injections in India are quite expensive and monthly treatments for a year will double her monthly spending.
3) A second opinion was taken from a family doctor and he suggested taking Teriparatide injections alone. Does that not seem wrong - since parathyriod hormone will also increase resorption if calcium is deficient in the body ?

I am beginning to think I am a guinea pig. My rheumy has given me anywhere from 10-25 injections of marcaine .50. I have to get them once a month. They take him all of about 50 seconds to give me. It is either in my upper shoulder area or in the lower back depending on where I hurt the most at that time. I told him that the disability company wanted to know how long I have to get the shots as I feel they are not doing anything for me.

I recieved an injevtion to l4-s 1 then several to my si joint. The injections made me worse I suffer from severe pain bladder dysfuction and my legs go dead and give out. After I told my pain management doctor I got worse he dismissed me with no referrals. What can be done. I am desperatw for help.
So I'm 25 weeks & 4 days and am currently getting P-17 injections (progesterone) weekly and recently have had to go back to work. Has anyone else had to return to work while trying to get through a high risk pregnancy?
I've been getting progesterone injections since I was 17 weeks. This is my fourth pregnancy and I didn't have to get them with my first two three pregnancies. So I'm new to this. I'm 29 weeks as of today and I started having contractions last week. They stopped for like three days and now they have started again. Should I be worried about the injections not doing what it's supposed to do? I wonder if I'm going to deliver earlier. Has any of you moms gone through this?
m high risk and consultants wants to see me in 2 weeks to inject steroids 24 hrs apart. Apparently if I go into preterm labour then the injections will allow the baby lungs to develop quickly and ensure the best chances of survival. Anybody else had these? baby's tummy was in normal range but not exactly on the graph line....

So today my Dr. Ordered 2 rounds if steroid injections because our baby girl is measuring 2wks behind normal and in the 4%percentile. Has this happen to anyone else??? Really worried! She said that if they have to do a preterm labor she wants to make sure lungs are developed fully.
This action *should* activate the safety mechanism that pops a clear cover over the needle. It took me 2 weeks of injections to realize this existed! 40mg is a small dose so I don't think it would cause reactions, but I'm not a doc or pharmacist so if it keeps up you should definitely ask one of them about it.

10 days ago I received botox injections in muscles in upper trap muscles. Since then I have severe paid in one area muscle and joint. Pain is Burning as well soreness. I have been taking Celebrex for 4 days now and no relief. Any suggestions. I have tried ice or heat and nothing reliefs the pain. HELP!!!
Can steroid injections in your knees effect your kidney function? Also can it cause any kind of Afib? If so, what are some other options?
I am concerned with weight gain with the steroid injection. I am to see a pain management doctor in the near future and talk to him about sciatic joint injections. I'm NOT wanting steroids to cause more problems since more than likely these injections will be done the rest of my life. I'm in my mid fifties. I have heard you may get swelling in the face arms and hands.
