It is best to see a dermatologist.Toipcal antifungals like Clotrimazole, Terbinafine may help. If the patch is large oral medications may be needed. Maintain good hygiene. Avoid sharing personal items. Do write to us again on how you are doing.

He gave me Terbinafine 250mg to be taken once a day orally. I am feeling a lot better with this medication.
I am waiting on blood work results relating to the low blood pressure. He mentioned anemic and B12 being low. When we get those results I'll be going for allergy testing.
For now I'm working on getting my heart and lungs back in shape with regular exercise. The brain fog has lifted but my body feels like it's been through hell. After I exercise I feel ill for a few hours.

i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.

What you have read is correct.
Is there any problem applying cream with terbinafine hydrochloride 1% and benzyl alcohol 1%(Terbest cream) or cream with ketoconazole 2% and beclomethasone dipropionate .025%(Toaf-B cream) on SCROTUM. Which is better? Is there any anti-fungal creams we should avoid on genitals?

ve been having scalp problems, it itches and burns and it drives me crazy. I have had this problem for several years now more like 25 or 26 years, I have dealth with this problem in differant ways such as using alcohol, peroxide or even literine and believe me it controls the problem for a few days then it comes back.
m really glad you have had a doctor check it out. Has it not improved at all with the Terbinafine and the ketocanazole?
i've been getting rough red itchy rashes on my inner thighs since i was a young kid. it lasts just about a few weeks around summer time but it leaves permanete marks. recently i've been getting the same thing on my underarms and the back of my knees. i believe it is from the heat but im not sure. i've been cleaning the rashes with stridex pads and using aloe vera on them. the rashes are not getting better and they are growing.
but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.
miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist.

Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
I also use a hairdryer, do not share towels with anyone, and have used Lamisil (Terbinafine) for 2 weeks as of today. I change my underwear once per day though, but I avoid sweating or walking much during the day as much as possible. And apply talcum powder on my groin every 2-3 hs during the day. That's all I've been doing and as I wrote, the skin at first sight looks back to normal, BUT if I see it from an angle, I can still see the circles where the jock itch used to be........
After washing with antibacterial soap I rub it with alcohol which burns really bad then I wipe it down with iodine followed by clotrimazole cream. This helps but usually once a month it comes back with a vengence. I basicaly feel like my sex life is over and that I have been cursed and diseased. NOTHING GETS RID OF IT. NOTHING. And, this is the best part, NO ONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. they just shake their heads and say to wash it and dry it. Oh really, wash it and dry it, thanks Einstien.
She further advised me to take Levofloaxacin 750mg for 5 days together with appky Terbinafine Cream. But still no relief. Infection resurface with spreading to more areas.
Consulted on phone (as I stay in Zambia) with a Dermatologist and gave all the medicine history who advised for 10 day course of Itraconazole-200mg (1-0-0), Fluconazole-150mg(1-0-0), Hydroxyzine-10 mg(1/2 morning n 1/2 evening) and apply Luliconazole lotion. Today is 4th day have no relief.
As my rash improve a lot with itraconazole and fluconazole but not with terbinafine and griseofulvin, could we determinate what mycosis it is ?
How long after taking oral fluconazole I have to wait to do the tests ?

s contact dermatitis, the desonate gel would clear it up. So, I went on with her directions and took the terbinafine for 10 days and used the desonate for 14 days. The rash did go away for a little while but came back even before I had finished the full treatment of terbinafine (I did in fact go ahead and finish the full 10 days). I went back to the doctor for a follow up and she wanted to take a biopsy which may in fact leave a scar (which I really do not want).
My husband and I going through the exact same thing. I've had about 20ish spots all over my body, that seems to fade but not entirely go away (For a month and a week, going on two weeks) Although I started Oral Meds late, I'm on day 6 of Terbinafine. I've been taking it day by day. Who would have thought Ringworm would suck so bad :(. We ended up getting it from 2 rescue kittens. They seem to kind of fade, but I can still see them.
Clotrimazole..Terbinafine Miconazole with treatment should take 4-6 2weeks toheal ..good luck ..only other thought was an allergy from something used on her face ..
You may have a yeast infection but it may be resistant strain to the medicines they have in the stores. See if they have one without Azole at the end. If they have a vaginal Terbinafine that would work (but if it is only for athletes foot don't use it). Otherwise you will have to get a culture done from the doctor to see what it is.
1. Scrub affected area well every evening with a soapy cloth. Do NOT go to sleep without doing this. The fungus eats the dead skin cells, so you need to scrub the skin clean.
2. After showering (and before you put your clothes on):
A. Make sure the area is 100% dry (use a hair dryer).
B. Rub in Zeasorb antifungal powder on the whole crock/crack area.
C. Put Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% cream (one brand is Lamisil) on the affected area and an inch beyond.

hey mate. i have the same problem. but it is on top of my penish in my pubic area. i shaved it and noticed it was red. but wen i scratch it it becomes white or lighter in color and the cracks appear. and when i shower it stings like helll. im hoping its not an std. or anything bad.

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with ringworms near my groin area and on my penis. I've been taking Terbinafine tablets and applying terbinafine cream, and it's been slowly improving.
But I think the rash has spread to my fingers. The area between my fingers and near my nails is very dry and crusty, sometimes giving off a transparent liquid. There are small bumps on my fingers as well, and there's a constant urge to itch. Its been there for the past 3 days.
