Is it a white film that you can rub off? If so it could be yeast? You could try Terbinafine cream or spray. The other ones yeast are sometimes resistant to. Otherwise, I'm not sure what it is. That is the only thing it sounds like. Usually, yeast itches or itches and burns.
So i am looking at trying the Selsun blue maximum or the tinactin foot spray. I have read that the contents in those two are good to try. I am looking for more products or more effective products. My spots do not itch they just like get a little red swollen a little it looks like and then the skin like starts to peal and it goes plan white. no red ring or anything so i know its not ring worms. Another thought is trying the Terbinafine spray on the outside (not in the vagina) just to see if it works for about a week or two and if it does then you know you have to get a internal type for the vagina too or anal area. Terbinafine (Lamisil) can be used for jock itch and the private areas so it should be okay.
Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.Pls consult a dermatologist for their prescription.

hello, im a 25 year old male who has not had sex in over 7 months. i have a rash that started around the foreskin below the head of the penis. the skin look like it had been split and ichted and burned for a while. this started after i had masturbated maybe once or twice. i have had this before and it took less than a day to go away but this time it didnt go away right away. now it has turned into what looks more like a rash. the rash seems to have spread down the penis to my scrotum.
I know it is not jock itch because it does not spread. I have tried jock itch spray along with TONS of other medication. There is almost always an odor along with this problem. Someone help!!
He uses Lamisil spray on his and it seems to stop the itching but not the spreading. What should we do? He has also had a kidney-pancreas transplant over 6 years ago and is on numerous medications. What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.
Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.
I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?
I think it is probably that. Yes you can spray or put the Terbinafine cream on the penis and surrounding areas. I talked to a pharmacist about this. But you can't put the over the counter cream inside the vagina unless it is made for that specifically. That is why I mentioned a prescription. She may want a culture done to see which type of yeast or to find out if she has bacterial vaginosis or something else as well. That is another story.
Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
My husband and I going through the exact same thing. I've had about 20ish spots all over my body, that seems to fade but not entirely go away (For a month and a week, going on two weeks) Although I started Oral Meds late, I'm on day 6 of Terbinafine. I've been taking it day by day. Who would have thought Ringworm would suck so bad :(. We ended up getting it from 2 rescue kittens. They seem to kind of fade, but I can still see them.
