But now again it has appeared on my body. Specifically on my neck. I am having the same oral solution and using Clotrimazole topical cream. But it's not effective like before. Instead of being cured it's spreading. I am also using ketoconazole soap for bathing.

Terbinafine oral is not effective against tinea versicolor. However Terbinafine solution (Lamisil) is quite effective in treatment of tinea versicolor. Please discuss this with your doctor and you can get prescribed oral treatment like itraconazole, ketoconazole or fluconazole.

miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine,ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.

I was scared to go see the doctor so I applied all types of over the counter medications and also oral tablets (flucanzole, clotrimazole, terbinafine) to help with the fungal infection. The infection used to disappear but then come back when I used to stop the treatment. So I finally saw a dermatologist. He told me I had genital warts and gave me a lotion to apply on them so they would fall off. It worked and my genital warts were gone.
The main findings were that for reduced fungus, terbinafine was found to be significantly better than itraconazole and griseofulvin, and terbinafine was better tolerated than itraconazole.

What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.

Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.

I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.

I would appreciate any advice you can give me as i am finding it very hard to deal with this situation and no one seems to have a solution. I even tried wearing tight bike pants under my trousers to stop the constant rubbing which was a suggestion from the dermatologist and it was so painfull from the stinging that i felt in constant pain when i walked or sat down.
