Have you any thoughts on how long after stopping taking Terbinafine and you would expect the side effects would start to ease off?

These tablets have a bitter taste and lose their effectiveness quickly when broken, so you should swallow them whole. Chewing the tablet may leave a bitter taste. Hence, do not split, chew, or crush them.

I had a TT for papillary carcinoma in 7/07. I had a 30% uptake in my thyroid scan and they gave me 21mCi I-131 to bring down the dose. I just received my second dose (220mCi) last week, and expected nominal side effects. I've felt terrible since then. Loss of taste, overall nausea, etc. Anyone else go through this? My docs didn't mention anything about side effects (besides the normal salivary glands swelling). How long should I expect to feel this way?

Hi Ladies I just have as question about metformin whats the side effects some of you may have had? I start to take metformin today so maybe this will bring on my period. I had a natural m.c in nov 2008 and no AF as of yet.

I just attended a course on the triple treatment that includes Victrelis. The PA who ran the course said that I wasn't likely to develope any new side affect with Victrelis but that it is likely to intensify the side effects I am having with just the Interferon & Ribavirin. Do you all fing this to be mostly accurate?

Hmmm, not everyone's side effects will be the same. In fact, you may not really have any side effects that you notice. My side effects were: racing heart - I lost about 5 lbs in 3 days. skin sensitive to the touch. feeling like I was beat up with a baseball bat on my back. shaking. and feeling like my achilles tendon was going to rip off. I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

m now switching over to oral Griesofulvin as the side effects of oral Terbinafine are pretty much unbearable (resembles a cold but with more sneezing ; at times I also get 'breathless' ie my mind feels that my breaths are not supplying O2 to my brain---wierd is'nt it ?).

I started taking carbamazapine (aka Tegretol) last week and I'm wondering if anyone's had any side effects - so far I've got a yucky taste in my mouth, feel woosy and tired about 2 hours after I take it and have to lie down, my hands are shaky and I feel yuck should I go back to the Doctor or persevere and hope the symptoms go away?

I think u may not be able to sleep cos ur bp is too high and thats quite dangerous, usually i cant get any sleep if my bp rises above 150/90. Side effects of atenolol for me are slow pulse, weak erection, weakness and tiredness, confusion, difficulty taking quick decisions.

I have or had a bacterial infection in my stomach (gastritus) according to my endoscopy recently taken, along with a couple of small ulcers " My Dr prescribed 500 ml of flagyl and 500 ml of biaxin to be taken twice daily for 14 days I did not complete the treatment " the side effects were to extreme I did it for 11 days ..and stopped ...My question 'was " were those side effects common? I am half way on 24 weeks tx (type B 2) Some weeks all horrible side effects come out, other weeks- full of energy. Had bad-ish sx earlier, but then it is hard to say if it is over- another 3 month to go. Hair falls out- had to cut it short- which in my case always suit me better anyway, so everyone loves it.Only good news- docs said I am UMD since 4 weeks on tx! So when I am down, I look at it as temporary thing, even when it is very hard.

said the side effects were not bad, but if I noticed any I could take it before bed. Well I took it after I picked it up from the pharmacy at about 3 pm and in the evening I started feeling really sick to my stomach, dizzy, and severe hot flashes. I took a nap because I also was tired. Well I woke up from my nap and had to go to the store and had to come home immediately I felt as though I was going to pass out!!! I was so hot and dizzy!!!! Hi there, Ive been waiting to see if any one has had side effects from this drug. I started taking this Feb 2/08 was sick for the first 2 weeks. First period I spotted for 3 days, waiting for the next one no signs of anything yet have been regular for years. Im 46 and not in menapause. Increase in weight gain thought maybe just being lazy.... keep me posted on how your doing. I just started today first radiation treatment 24 more to go !!! Did you have radiation?

Is having side effects a good sign the meds trying to work on day 3 and managing to put up with them for now slight head ache but more the dry mouth and horrible taste just wanting people's opinions on this and is it good that I'm experiencing day 3 of switching straight over from another that caused side effects for the 5 weeks I was on them and couldn't take it anymore Thanks

I have been diagnose with a skin fungus infection (dermamytocosis) and the dermatologist has prescribed Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride) very strong tablets with quite a few side effects. I would like to try natural alternatives like apple cider vinegar but could the infection spread out or perhaps can resolved by itself over time. Will I be prone to get fungus infections in the future?

Gonal F 300u am and pm and Lupron 10u am and pm... I had no side effects until this weekend. I have a constant vertigo (dizziness) and WICKED abd bloating... is this normal? I know they said its a side effect but when do you start worrying about hypterstim? I also can TASTE the gonal F when I inject it- im not sure if its just in the air and I can taste it or what- but its nasty.... Anyways- how long will I be on these meds?
