Terbinafine powder

Common Questions and Answers about Terbinafine powder

lamisil

Avatar n tn I have had the same problem for quite some time. I'll use lotrimun powder spray and baby powder every morning and evening after washing, it does the trick. But during the summer when sweating is inevitable, the jock itch will return. I haven't found a permanate cure for my case, but you'll find the "jock itch" powder spray + baby powder can keep it dry for quite come time. Try it.
Avatar m tn Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?
Avatar n tn Jock itch is treated with one of two types of antifungal medications — miconazole/ clotrimazole or terbinafine. Generally, terbinafine require a shorter treatment time, while azoles are less expensive but require longer treatment time. For a mild case of jock itch, your doctor may suggest first using an over-the-counter antifungal ointment, lotion, powder or spray. Most infections respond well to topical agents. Avatar f tn Restrict wearing any undergarments at night and as far as possible keep the area dry. Also wear cotton undergarments and use clotrimazole powder on the area. Application of local antifungal cream (terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn I have a rash around my pelvic area about 2 inches round that is smelly, sore, and has a stinky moist "sweat" coming from it and I was wondering what it was and what I can do about it. I've been using hydrocortizone and baby powder on it for a day and half now and it's been getting alittle better. I would like to know how to prevent this in the future.
Avatar m tn I feel it might be poison ivy or something but I have no clue how I could have gotten it. I use powder and it seems to help with the itchiness but doesn't help for long and does nothing for the irritation. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Avatar n tn The most commonly used antifungal creams are Clotrimazole, Ketoconazole, Miconazole, Terbinafine and Tolnaftate. If there are several ringworm lesions or if the lesions are extensive, oral antifungal medications can be used. Because fungi prefer warm, moist environments, preventing ringworm involves keeping skin dry with the usage of talcum powder. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar n tn been almost two weeks now. Calomine lotion and baby powder seem to help the most without burning me. Other things burn and when i wash with an antibacterial soap that kind of sooths it but I feel a burning till I dry off.

Avatar n tn I have been dealing with redness and irritation on the area where my vagina and inner thighs meet. It is red and VERY ITCHY and has been for a while. I have applied alcohol and witch hazel. They of course burned and were drying. I have applied A&D ointment and Gold Bond powder which are both cooling and soothing until it gets warm. I have also applied Shea Butter and continued the gold bond powder. This has gone on for a while and I am not sure what else to do.
Avatar f tn The fungal infection is often treated with topical antifungal agents, which can take the form of a spray, powder, cream, or gel. The most common ingredients in over-the-counter products are miconazole nitrate (2% typical concentration in the United States) and tolnaftate (1% typ. in the U.S.). Terbinafine, marketed as Lamisil is another over-the-counter drug. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
