I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

The topical prescription is for .01 % Terbinafine, largest tube the Pharmacy has available. And the Pharmacist was doubly surprised since these new prescription's followed on the heals of the Prednisone ( 10 mg x 3 for 4 days, 10 mg x 2 for 4 days, 10 mg x 1 for 4 days ), which was proceeded by a prescription of Sulfamethoxazole/Tmp 800-160 Tabs twice a day for 14 days.
Facial infection is gone, but rash only keeps getting worse.
Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with ringworms near my groin area and on my penis. I've been taking Terbinafine tablets and applying terbinafine cream, and it's been slowly improving.
But I think the rash has spread to my fingers. The area between my fingers and near my nails is very dry and crusty, sometimes giving off a transparent liquid. There are small bumps on my fingers as well, and there's a constant urge to itch. Its been there for the past 3 days.
i dont know how to spell it. I was prescribed a cream and two prescription pills. How does this infection take to go away?
Ive been to the GUM clinic and i was clear im sexually active with the same partner for the past 7 months and she has no problems similar. Its not extremely red and doesnt look like any jock itch ive seen it hasnt spread and i have had it for 10ish months now when itched it seems like the skin is really dry and flaky.
Do you recommend a 1% clotrimazole over the counter cream to see how that goes, or do you think it could be something else?
Im going exactly throught tha same type of Skin problem and just on my 5th days on Terbinafine but concerned about the side effects it can have on my liver...even if they are rare it is still concerning and I dont want to continue on the medication if it not going to be a fungul skin infection.
My Patch started as a small red mark on my stomach areas and grew about 6" x 3 ..pretty large but I have no symptoms, no rash.
Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day and do not share other people’s towels. Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment but they should be taken under prescription.

I was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice please?
On the right hand side of my right ankle about 6-7 months ago I noticed a single red/pink patch of a rash that was approximately 5 centimetres in diameter that didn't hurt or itch and I only noticed it because I caught it when putting a sock on and that caused a brief moment of pain that soon subsided. I chose to ignore it as it wasn't really bothering me so I thought it may disappear on its own. It didn't.
I noticed that when I sweat in my groin area, the itch worsens. The itch is so discomforting. I tried scabies treatment also, but no effect. Natural Tea Tree oil don't seem to cure it. Please help.

i have recently developed a rash on the head of my penis, there is no discomfort and no discharge, an occasional itchyness but very infrequent and usually if i have been sitting for a while. ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, terbinafine ( I have tried these 4 drugs in oral and topical form) I have also tried selsun shampoo and all of these have failed. I was wondering if there was anymore hope for me? Is there anymore antifungal pill I can take? Due to my rash not responding well to 3 azole antifungals does this mean it won't respond to any of the other azole antifungals? And are there anyother antifungal that are effective that arnt azole?

Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

I can not go to a dermatologist due to i have no health care and i in college and i cant have another bill as is. So i am looking at trying the Selsun blue maximum or the tinactin foot spray. I have read that the contents in those two are good to try. I am looking for more products or more effective products. My spots do not itch they just like get a little red swollen a little it looks like and then the skin like starts to peal and it goes plan white.

What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.
She further advised me to take Levofloaxacin 750mg for 5 days together with appky Terbinafine Cream. But still no relief. Infection resurface with spreading to more areas.
Consulted on phone (as I stay in Zambia) with a Dermatologist and gave all the medicine history who advised for 10 day course of Itraconazole-200mg (1-0-0), Fluconazole-150mg(1-0-0), Hydroxyzine-10 mg(1/2 morning n 1/2 evening) and apply Luliconazole lotion. Today is 4th day have no relief.
