What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.
I developed yeast infection almost 1 month ago immediately after a course of antibiotics. I am diabetics over last 10plus years relatively under control with medicine. This tome the infection was while patch all over the penis head and foreskin giving heavy itching which peels off and new patches develops after 5-7days thus recurring.
Initially as per GP applied Miconazole + Hydeocortisone togerwith Trbrinafine 250mg and Fluconazole 250mg for 5 days, but no relief.
Does anybody who knows anything about medicine have any advice on this?
I am desperate for a G&T, after not having one sip of alcohol for 3 weeks!
This Rx worked perfectly. Can anyone please help me learn what this medicine would have been? The fungus has returned years later, and I would like to repeat this treatment rather than the one that requires taking meds daily for 3 months.
The medicines I have used are, Clotrimazole, Ketocnazole, Terbinafine and oral Terbinafine. The medicine didn’t work so I was sent to the hospital to the dermatology department, they took a scrape test to see if it is a fungal infection. The doctor there had prescribed me with Canesten HC, which contains Clotrimazole and Hydrocortisone, just to use on the red raised patch around. I am using this medicine but can not see any improvements.

So this started for me when I first had a fungal infection.i was walking outside in the rain and my shows got wet. I had my foot soaked for 8 hrs in wet shoes due to work.
I finally for a doctor to prescribe me antifungal and i'm still on my first week testing out. I have been taking terbinafine. No significant changes 1st week
I would also like to test out water only for 7 days if possible. But might not be possible due to work.
I have had tinea for at least 5 weeks. Tried Athlete's Foot cream / medicine (capsules I cannot remember name of - but 1 per day for 14 days), using Diprosone ointment for +2 weeks, Selenium Sulphide shampoo for 2 weeks (covered affected areas, allowed to dry for 1 hr and then showered off before putting on the Diprosone ointment). It is still there - mainly two areas on my chest on which I am now using Betadine.
Is this time span normal.
I also see tiny pimples sprout up around the area. I am currently using OTC terbinafine, but the itchy and crawly feelings persist. Neosporin stops the itch immediately but some itching returns after a few hours. I have had ringworm in the past and it never lasted this long or gave me this much trouble. I'm suspecting that what I have may be bacterial rather than fungal, but I don't know how to explain those initial round lesions I had. I'm very confused and still very itchy.
Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.
My scrotum is also quite dry in some spots, I have used lotion, and some other medicine (lotion type spread) I am not quite of the name of, and the medicine seems to have a slight burning sensation but reduces the itch. I usually get the urge to scratch, or I feel itchy when my pants/boxers rub against my scrotum/penis. Most of the time I can ignore it, but as I said before, from time to time the itch gets unbearable.
ll see in skin allergy on other part of your body. Itching is unstoppable. Please, tell me which medicine I should take or what doctor I should consult?

I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
t have insurance) and she had supposedly diagnosed the problem as ringworm by looking at it, I finished my 2 weeks of an oral Terbinafine prescription, and during the last 2 days of the Terbinafine I started to get an itchy back, 2 sections of my lower back (on the right and left hand side) started to itch, I fought it and never scratched it and woke up today for the rash to be about 5x the size they were the previous evening.
FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.

also have used vicks vapor rub trying to get rid of the skin folds, when they open back up they are very painful with yellow centers and red outside edges, the strange thing is these black particles or pebbles pop out of my skin when pulling and stretching outward trying to get rid of these skin folds so that my skin does not feel so tight. recently took terbinafine which seemed to help some in eliminating the some of the skin folds and white mark scars.
But when nothing seemed to happen I reached a doctor and he told me to put a CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE and NEOMYCIN SULPHATE CREAM with a medicine named TERBINAFINE tablets USP 250mg. But still that reddness is not gone . Please tell me what is it and what I should I do.
Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?
Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
My husband and I going through the exact same thing. I've had about 20ish spots all over my body, that seems to fade but not entirely go away (For a month and a week, going on two weeks) Although I started Oral Meds late, I'm on day 6 of Terbinafine. I've been taking it day by day. Who would have thought Ringworm would suck so bad :(. We ended up getting it from 2 rescue kittens. They seem to kind of fade, but I can still see them.
Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis includes shampoos containing coal tar, ciclopiroxolamine, ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione, keratolytics such as salicylic acid or coal tar preparations , topical terbinafine solution, lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids or corticosteroids , milk of magnesia ,isotretinoin and UV-A and UV-B light.
Pls discuss these options with your dermatologist and see which one works the best for you.

Treatment of scabies is specific and consists of topical medicines like permethrin,malathion,lindane and tea tree oil and oral medicine like ivermectin.It is highly contagious and although none of your family members are showing any symptoms now,yet they may require the treatment.So I would advise an evaluation by a dermatologist.
