I also use a hairdryer, do not share towels with anyone, and have used Lamisil (Terbinafine) for 2 weeks as of today. I change my underwear once per day though, but I avoid sweating or walking much during the day as much as possible. And apply talcum powder on my groin every 2-3 hs during the day. That's all I've been doing and as I wrote, the skin at first sight looks back to normal, BUT if I see it from an angle, I can still see the circles where the jock itch used to be........

Please Help me. i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.

Ive had this for about 3 months , now there are some on other leg and arms.Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.

It cleared everything up in less than 2weeks. We continued low doses of terbinafine for several weeks, and then discontinued. For about 6 months, his skin was totally clear, then we noticed a few ringworm lesions starting about 3 weeks ago. We tried all the topicals for a couple of weeks, even the prescription cream, but his ringworm doesn't respond to them at all. So last week, we started him on a low dose of the terbinafine again, and his lesions are almost all cleared up already.

I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

ve read on holistic info sites that BUPRENORPHINE is the best and SAFEST pain med for cats....I know thats the one my Vet uses too. Is this for long term use?

I had this white scaling on the penis glans going on for almost 3 weeks and not improving. I went to see a general practitioner and he said it is balanatis. He prescribed 2mg of Tinizadole which reading about I found it is NOT used for fungus problems. Do not know if I should go ahead and take it. He did nor presctibe anything else and said one dos will likely suffice...

my doctor perscribed me to terbinafine orals at 250mg once a day for 2 weeks. I have read that this does not work on versicolor is this true?

Both of these meds need to be taken for 3 months. The previous Rx was taken only once a month for 3 months. Any ideas what medicine this would have been?

Is there an over-th-counter medication for ringworm ? I can't get to my dermitologist before New Years and i would like to at least try to get rid on this ringworm.

FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.

Typical canned tuna for humans has too much sodium for cats. Lots of cats enjoy treats of cooked chicken and turkey, but I would avoid the processed "lunch meat" variety in quantity because of the salt and other additives. Onions are toxic to cats, but I don't believe there is harm in other vegetables and fruits if your cat likes them.

I know! I've never seen anything like it before and I too have been around cats for a long time. They do feel a little like scabs. I actually peeled a bit off under her nose yesterday, and the skin looked clear underneath, but then today the black crust was back. I thought it could be coming from her nose...but then why would it be above her nose as well?? And the spots above her nose aren't crusty and can't be peeled off. It's so weird. I'm completely stumped.

All my symptoms point to Black Piedra and I was in Chennai India for 10 days but that was 2 years ago. No fungal treatment over the last 3 months is working. I\m hoping the Terbinafine makes these completely disappear. Since this is a first ringworm experience for me, I have no Idea what they look like when they are in the process of healing :(. I almost feel depressed sometimes when I look at my skin, because I wonder if I will ever be back to normal.

So good quality dry food, cans without veggies and rice in them, no bread, no pasta - cats don't digest carbohydrates, that's why he gets watery, smelly stools. Diet change is not going to be easy, but you should try it. I keep my fingers crossed!
