Terbinafine for athletes foot

Common Questions and Answers about Terbinafine for athletes foot

lamisil

Avatar f tn I have developed a rash that is between my breasts and spreading down my stomach that favors athletes foot. Is this possible? My fiance has the same thing, only his is all over. He uses Lamisil spray on his and it seems to stop the itching but not the spreading. What should we do? He has also had a kidney-pancreas transplant over 6 years ago and is on numerous medications. Could his meds be causing this rash? I would just like to get a hold of it before it goes crazy.
Avatar f tn You may have a yeast infection but it may be resistant strain to the medicines they have in the stores. See if they have one without Azole at the end. If they have a vaginal Terbinafine that would work (but if it is only for athletes foot don't use it). Otherwise you will have to get a culture done from the doctor to see what it is.

Avatar f tn Can gonorrhea be cured with a special type of athletes foot cream or does it just relieves the symptoms? Because I went to the doctor and my results were positive of having gonorhea from my vaginal exam, I told the doctor that the symptoms only occured outside of my genitals but yet he found the bacteria near my cervix. he gave me an athletes foot cream and told me to apply it twice a day until the syptoms stop then told me I could leave.

Avatar f tn Started out like athletes foot on his left foot then he started getting blisters between toes and on bottom of his foot they are very sore and make sores after they bust. He has some blisters on his hands also. He went to doctor several times they told him it was a fungus. Nothing has done it any good. Now its on both feet and hands. He is a diabetic and he has Sarcoidosis.
578950 tn?1217771704 ve been putting cream for athletes foot on them, but that only seems to have helped the athletes foot part, if I even had that at all in the first place of course. Any idea what this could be? Loads of pictues of it taken over the last week or so here: http://s46.photobucket.
Avatar f tn Hello, Steroids are not prescribed for fungal infection because they can exacerbate the condition. For fungal infection you need topical and oral antifungals. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn Ok i have two problems. A few months ago i started getting this off coloration on my upper body below the collar line. I thought it was my tan fading but its blotchy. I have a really bad farmers tan because im in the marines and im always in a warm climate. I've also had athletes foot too past so im thinking it might be some type of fungus. These are the symptoms. At first i started applying moisturizer after getting out of the shower but its been a few weeks and no results.
Avatar n tn A few days later (I was keeping it clean with peroxide) I noticed more small itchy blisters forming on my dry foot. I didnt think it could be athletes foot since my foot does not sweat... but I do use communial matts at yoga. I figured if it was a fungus it would be on my other foot. A few more days my foot is not getting better and tiny bumps on my palms and fingers of hands showing up. They itch as well. (like little itchy water blisters...
Avatar f tn I took her to a pediatrician about the issue, unfortunately it was a new doctor and I'm not to pleased with his examination of the rash. She was treated with a cream for the yeast infection in the diaper area and then I was told that the facial rash was nothing more than "dry skin" which I am well aware of what dry skin looks like and that is not what it was. But it was fading that day so he probably didn't see what I had seen the days before the visit.

Avatar n tn get a rash kind of like athletes foot in between my pinky toe does not spread comes in the summer and i have used differant foot creams but it just continues to stay itchy skin peels goes away in winter what is it
Avatar n tn I have experienced itching, peeling, dryness, small blisters, callouses, and redness on my left foot but never on my right foot. I have tried all sorts of creams including ones for athletes foot but I have no idea why it doesn't go away.
Avatar n tn By the way a dermatophyte is a type of fungus and as I mentioned causes skin, nail and hair infections like joch itch and athletes foot. One other thought is that if you are using an over the counter medication or even a prescription one yeast are becoming resistant to the ones that end in azole. Such as fluconazole. Usually you can see the chemical name in the ingredients. So you can use terbinafine (Lamisil) if changing out some of the habits above don't work.
Avatar f tn You can try Terbinafine (Lamisil) cream. This is usually used for athletes foot. But this is for the surface skin not inside the folds or in or near the vagina. So if this doesn't work you may need to see a doctor for this.
Avatar f tn ve used a 50/50 mix of hydrocortisone and athletes foot cream for thrush in horse hooves and on myself for yeast infection. Might help?
Avatar f tn Perhaps try a cream or powder for athletes foot. If you still have a problem or if the area becomes red, puffy, warm to touch and/or has pus, see a doctor asap! Good luck!
Avatar n tn Thanks for your quick reply. You mentioned other areas of the body, so I thought I would add to my "history". When I was about 19, I had horrible athletes foot on just one foot. It lasted for two years, never responded to treatment, then suddenly disappeared. In my 20s, I had vitiligo (white patches on back). This was treated with lamisil and resolved quickly. I have always had a predisposition for vaginal yeast infections, though after childbirth this is much better.
578950 tn?1217771704 Just to update on the situation, looks like I had athletes foot on my foot, which then shocked my immune system into having a bought of eczema, it was not athletes foot on my hands, those little bumpy things, that was eczema! So it was misdiagnosed by the Dr's on this site. Eczema came on my feet, fingers and hands, as a result of the athletes foot making my immune system have some kind of a reaction.
3105573 tn?1355979465 I looked this up and found a couple of things it could be. Athletes foot or you are on your feet to much and need to rest them and soak them. Hope this helps. Maybe mention this to your doc.
Avatar m tn ve never noticed a sore on my genitals but have had unprotected sex a year earlier. Is this athletes foot? Again they mainly occur towards the middle of the of the foot but have just came up on the outer edge.
Avatar f tn I've had this foot rash for a while now. I've tried cream for athletes foot and psoriasis medicine and it's never really healed. Can anyone tell me what it is? It's a red rash that gets itchy and doesn't really spread.
