The mucus in the morning has diminished quite a bit with Terbinafine. I also get this nodule or mucus plug(containing blood), that comes from my nasal passage into the throat. It used to appear every couple of weeks, since taking Terbinafine it shows up every couple of days.

They can do a culture and see what type it is and confirm that it is a fungus too. They can also add the shampoo.
He referred to a Dermatologist. Administred Terbinafine-500mg (10days) and Fexofenadine-120mg (7 days) continued applying Miconazole but had no relief. She further advised me to take Levofloaxacin 750mg for 5 days together with appky Terbinafine Cream. But still no relief. Infection resurface with spreading to more areas.
I was wondering what would be the best fungal medication for him to take terbinafine or fluconazole I read on the internet that sporanox is not recommended. What do you think I should tell the doctor to prescribe for a two and a half year old that would be safe.

What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.

ve been to two different dermatologists over the years, Both were unable to figure out what it is (skin scratch test had no results). Do you know what this is and what I can do to get rid of this, Its pretty embarrassing.
I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.

I am 25 years old male & facing huge problem on penis & scrotums. miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist.

Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?
Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
Have you had any other blood tests such as a complete blood count to see if you white blood cells are low or your immune system is low or compromised?
Did someone actually test you for thrush? Do you know what type it is?
Some yeast are resistant now to the type of anti-fungals that end in azole. This is like fluconazole etc. So you can get an oral rinse with amphotericin B or take terbinafine (Lamisil) if your liver enzymes are okay.

I haven't had it taken to a doctor yet. However I do suffer from fungal toenails. After posting I realised that the toenail in the picture also has become infected. I have had my toes examined by a doctor previous and they prescribed oral Terbinafine. I have been on it for a few months now but haven't seen any improvement. I am going to go back in the near future and ask for a lacquer. I bought one myself it contains amorolfine.
My husband and I going through the exact same thing. I've had about 20ish spots all over my body, that seems to fade but not entirely go away (For a month and a week, going on two weeks) Although I started Oral Meds late, I'm on day 6 of Terbinafine. I've been taking it day by day. Who would have thought Ringworm would suck so bad :(. We ended up getting it from 2 rescue kittens. They seem to kind of fade, but I can still see them.
For past 5 years am suffering from serious scrotum and anal itching and for abt a year now I notes blood in semen during ejaculation this happen once in two to four month. No rashes, no pain, no rednes my scrotum looks normal, I went to several doc they prescribe antifungal like gentaline c cream, sonadem cream, muconazole cream and tab, terbinafine cream and tab. But problem comeback after 2 or 3 weeks of treatment.
face, arms, back. My dermatologist gave me Lamisil cream with oral terbinafine during 2 weeks. My rash has almost disappeared. It came back 1 month after taking terbinafine. I have done a mycological examination 1 month after taking terbinafine but it was negative. Also, oral griseofulvin during 3 weeks didn't work. My rash was spreading all over my body (70%). The physicians sayed it was eczema. The gave me diprosone and oral cortisone.
So, frustrated and distressed, back I went to the dermatologist. This time, she gave me an oral antifungal called terbinafine and also gave me desonate gel, another corticosteroid. She said if it is fungal, the terbinafine should clear it up right away since it's a rather small rash. She also said that if it's contact dermatitis, the desonate gel would clear it up. So, I went on with her directions and took the terbinafine for 10 days and used the desonate for 14 days.
