It seems to be some sort of inverse psoriasis because I have that smooth pink rash in my butt crack and a one or two bumps. To make things worse, I'm taking accutane right now (not sure if that's caused any of this) and I've noticed I'm more prone to hard stools that have caused what I think is an anal fissure. Please help me Sad I haven't been to a doctor yet because I am embarrassed and if the cure is something non-prescribed I would rather try that first.

The skin around my anus itches and seems to slough off alot. The area is pink and shiny and cracks or splits. The skin crease above the anus below my tail bone is cracked and doesnt seem to heal well. I also have patches of itchy, flaky skin that comes and goes on my gentials and under my armpits. Is this all related? What can I do?
My father was recently told that there is damage to his liver and was taking terbinafine. Will it heal itself now that he quit?

You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing.

The main findings were that for reduced fungus, terbinafine was found to be significantly better than itraconazole and griseofulvin, and terbinafine was better tolerated than itraconazole.

What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.

i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.
They often come and go. My sister has the same spots and itchy legs. I know that psoriasis is inherited and no one else in my family has ever had any of these problems besides me and her. The spots on my stomach never really itch, or flake off, or anything they are just like red spots, sometimes even just look similar to a bruise. My sisters appear a lot more than mine and seem to take a lot longer to disappear. And there is no spots or bumps or anything visible on my legs.
The terbinafine worked better than flucka, my groin infection stopped spreading and the skin started to feel normal again.Penis and scrotum got better too.I was also using a clotrimazole,neomycin,clobetasol combo topical cream.
But,whenever my groin becomes even mildly sweaty,I get a flaring infection the next morning, despite 3.5 weeks of terbinafine.
Have you any thoughts on how long after stopping taking Terbinafine and you would expect the side effects would start to ease off?
That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis. It is known that an overactive immune system can trigger a site of psoriasis, and imiquimod invokes an immune response to have cytotoxins destroy skin cells.
So now.... retinoid treatments are not helping, and the only other main treatment for psoriasis are corticosteroids which if I'm not mistaken are immunosuppressants lol..... are they not?
